About the Homestay
I offer a comfortable Holiday apartment (living room, bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, shower and WC, terrace) and/or a double room (Mini studio) with en suite shower and WC and a kitchenette on the groundfloor of our private house surrounded by a herbal, flower and kitchen garden. Our house is at the edge of a quiet village, off the main road, surrounded by beautiful nature and mountains. The Valley (Oetztal) we are in offers a great variety of different winter and summer sports activities such as downhill skiing, cross country skiing, canyoning, paragliding, swimming and signposted walks. Several walks start from the doorstep of our house. Our ideal geographical position in Tirol, just 50km on a motorway west of Innsbruck, makes it easy to reach Germany (Bavaria) and Italy (South Tirol) in just under an hour and Switzerland and Liechtenstein in just over an hour by car while passing many beautiful small, historic and picturesque towns and villages which are all worth a visit. Our village is an ideal starting point for many excursions and walks into nature, culture and history.
If topics such as e.g. classical music, photography, art and architecture and the political system of the EU are interesting for you, you are welcome to share (or expand) your views with Friedrich and me with a glass of wine or with a cup of herbal tea. If you want to widen your knowledge in herbs, their healing power and in a healthy way of living ... all this is of great interest to me, Jolanta. I am a certified herbalist and I will be happy to share my knowledge with you. If you want to follow a structured herbal course, let me know before you arrive which specific „herbal areas“ you are interested in. If you want some physically active and sportive holidays or a more relaxing and quiet stay in the vicinity of outstanding nature or stimulating discussions on a variety of topics or, if improving your language skills in English or in German or attending a workshop on the healing power of herbs ending in producing herbal products yourself is on your mind then this might be the right place for you. Also a combination of several of these possibilities is an option if you choose to do so. Both Jolanta and I have been involved in education on a national and European level before we retired.

Jolanta and Friedrich were a great host family. They welcomed us warmly, gave us lots of interesting tips from the region and had really nice conversations with us. The apartment is beautiful, spacious, equipped with everything you need and the garden is beautiful. There were really great products for breakfast, some from their own garden or even homemade or from local farmers. The probability is very high that we will come back :-)
