Perfect for smart working from a home in Florence. High speed WiFi connection and homely atmosphere are offered by my husband and myself. We are offering one big bed room single use and one normal size bed room with one chilling corner and one bed corner also for single use only. All rooms are carefully furnished and there is one bath only for the two rooms, which is shared by the guests.
Our children are out of the house and come sometimes to visit us, but their rooms are empty. We hosted American students in the past and we are missing movement and life in our big sophisticated and stylish apartment. I am working from home, one room is my office, and my husband comes home for lunch during the week. We like to give information to our guests, be at hand for issues they might have in a foreign country and help them along. I know how that feels because I am a German Expat and my husband is a Florentine DOGC. (Joke: Original certificated!)
In addition we offer within your room and price a fridge, a microwave and a hot water kettle, cutlery and plates in order that you can do light snacks yourself. No kitchen use and not adapt for under 18 year old as we do not want to take the responsibility for minors.
Smoking area is exclusively in the front garden.
Depending on the length of your stay, we can arrange issues like using the washing machine. Kitchen use is not provided, but a fridge, a microwave and hot water kettle will be available for you in your room, which makes it a perfect stay for short term rentals. Be aware that we do not have aircondition and in July -August Florence is very hot and who is used to AC will find it difficult to live without.
We are open to extend the stay if the calendar allows it.

We live in a nice and save residential area in walking distance to the centre of Florence, only 15 minutes from the dome by foot. The train station Campo di Marte is a 5 minutes walk. In summer it is a very quiet zone,because a wealthy area where people move to the sea. Restaurants, Pizzerie, Supermarkets are close by and so are laundries, pharmacies, pastry shops , coffe bars and take aways.
In Piazza Savonarola is "Rosy" where you can have a drink enjoying it in the "Piazza".

Smoking is possible only in the garden ( table and chairs are there for smokers).
We are sleeping on the same floor and living in the same apartment, therefore we ask simply respectful guests.
There is no kitchen use. Laundry can be done by guests who are staying longer than 5 days once a week.

Absolutely loved my stay at Claudia's. Her husband Bernardo welcomed me and is very friendly and kind. They have a beautiful home and both the room and bathroom were clean and spacious. Throughout my stay it's been nice to have a small chat with Bernardo after I came back from a long day of seeing beautiful Florence. As the city center is only a short walk, it is the perfect place to wind down from a busy day. I highly recommend Claudia's home and would not hesitate to come back here again if possible (and to meet Claudia - as I've missed her during my stay)! :)

Claudia is always gentle, warm and polite host. Everyone can enjoy staying at her home with cozy, comfortable vibe. Her staying is one of the most amazing accommodation ever in my life. Hope someday I stay again.

Claudia was extremely kind, and the home and room were beautiful. The location was perfect and very close to the city center. I would definitely recommend staying at Claudia's place, and will try to visit again when I'm in florence

My stay with Claudia was a very warm and welcoming experience. Her place was wonderful, with a very comfortable bed/sheets and lots of space! As a solo traveler from the US, it was very nice having my private area for a few nights - reminded me of home!
Claudia was so personable and caring throughout my stay. From local food/activity recommendations to sharing stories about her family and studies, I had an incredibly pleasant stay!!!

I lived in Italy from 2021 to 2023 and I say this from the very bottom of my heat that I had my best time there staying with Claudia and Bernardo. They had been wonderful hosts starting from day one, always willing to help to or to have a chat, and their sons were also most kind and friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with such a cultivated family and I only wish that I had met them earlier.
Claudia’s place located in a beautiful, peaceful and affluent area in Florence, it is only 15 minutes’ walk from the Duomo and bus stops are mostly within 2 minutes’ walk. The house is spacious, stylishly decorated, well-organised and regularly cleaned. I highly recommend Claudia’s place to everyone and I really look forward to go back to Florence and visit them again!

My stay worked very well for me as a longer term stay for an overseas student. Claudia and Bernardo were always helpful. Th bed was comfortable and linen changed for me, the shower was spacious and the house was located only a short walk away from everything I needed plus it was close from the old city of Florence. A very enjoyable stay.

Mein Aufenthalt bei Claudia und Bernardo hat mir sehr gut gefallen, beide sind hilfsbereit und freundlich und ich konnte mit allen möglichen Fragen bezüglich Florenz oder der Umgebung zu ihnen kommen.

Unser 16-jähriger Sohn war zum ersten Mal für einen 5-wöchigen Sprachaufenthalt alleine unterwegs. Auf der Suche nach einer geeigneten Gastfamilie bin ich nach Claudia fündig geworden. Claudia und ihr Mann Bernardo sind sehr herzliche, freundliche und gebildete Deutsch-Italiener mit einem sehr gepflegten Zuhause. Unser Sohn hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt!
Allerdings hätten wir es sehr geschätzt, wäre die Familie als Gastfamilie mehr in Erscheinung getreten. So konnte er nur 1 Mal in den Genuss eines gemeinsamen Essens kommen und musste sich während des gesamten Aufenthaltes selber verpflegen. Die Küche durfte er dabei nicht benutzen!
Ein Aufenthalt ist sicherlich eher für Erwachsene geeignet und weniger für Jugendliche.Host reply
Liebe Anita, Ihr Sohn Frederic war ein netter aufmerksamer Gast und Sie wissen, dass wir normalerweise keine minderjährigen Gäste aufnehmen und nur in diesem Notfall zugesagt haben. Deshalb haben Sie völlig recht, unsere Zimmer sind nur für Erwachsene geeignet, die keine Küchenbenutzung beanspruchen.
