The cozy cottage boasts an open floor plan with lots of natural light, hardwood floors, an open living & sleeping area, full kitchen with fridge/freezer and stove/oven, spacious bathroom with clawfoot tub/shower, and a private patio with seating for two.
Our peaceful little cottage is eclectically styled with a quirky, cozy, combination of the old and the new:
// The bedroom boasts an uber-comfy queen sized bed with tons of pillows and a spacious antique armoire, with hangers and an ironing board.
// The cozy sleeping area opens into a well-lit, open floor plan living room & dining area with original hardwood floors and lots of natural light.
// The kitchen is fully-stocked (dishes, cookware & spices) with a fridge/freezer, double sink, glass top stove, oven, toaster oven, coffee pot & microwave.
// The full sized, airy & spacious bathroom boasts an original cast iron clawfoot tub … with complimentary bubble bath.

Conveniently close to pretty much everything Waxahachie has to offer, the Cozy Cottage is in a peaceful & historic Waxahachie neighborhood, just minutes away from downtown, SAGU, Scarborough Faire, the historic district, courthouse/square, and more!
Upon arriving at our cozy & comfy cottage, you'll enjoy the peacefulness and tranquility of a quite step back in time - folks walking the dogs, kids playing outside, oak-lined streets adorned with 1920s homes.
Perfectly located between the old and the new, the cottage is just minutes away from Scarborough Faire, Getzendener Park, & SAGU. We’re also conveniently located just minutes away from modern shopping & dining, as well as the historic downtown square with antique shopping, old fashioned soda fountain/ice cream shop, and other boutique stores on the square.

Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
- If traveling with a pet, please select at time of booking to ensure payment of $25 pet fee. Pet details (type, age, weight, breed, etc.) must be sent at time of booking to ensure they can be accommodated.
- Please pick up after yourself, your pet, and any additional guests or company if you have them (doggie bags can be provided if needed).
- Please observe quiet hours and respect the neighbors and the neighborhood.
NOTE: The cottage was built circa 1930 and is a historical home: ***if at any point during your stay you notice a fixture, furnishing, appliance, (etc.) has become damaged, modified, or otherwise altered, you agree to NOTIFY me IMMEDIATELY*** (within the hour). This helps preserve & maintain the integrity of the property and the surrounding neighborhood.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
