Thanks for looking at the Getaway Room. Great for one guest, not lovers getaway. Please take a minute to read the house rules - they should answer any questions you may have & alleviate potential problems. It's a clean, comfortable, spacious room on the second floor of my condo. One mile from the hospital, train & bus stations and Westconn. No cleaning fee / no security deposit. 1 off street parking spot. Minutes from Downtown Danbury & I-84. I have 2 cats. Not a place for long term stays.

My condo is located about a mile from the bus and train station. Uber and Lyft are both commonly used in the area as well.

House Rules
MAKE SURE TO READ ALL OF THE HOUSE RULES PLEASE
Some of these rules may seem silly and/or pointless but they have been written over time due to actions of other guests and for the contentment of everyone. Please respect and treat my home as you would your own.
* The WiFi password is in the guest book on the dresser in the room
* Due to the placement of the bathroom between the bedrooms, the upstairs bathroom is always not accessible. Please use downstairs bathroom (half bath by front door) between the hours of 9:30 pm and 6:30 am weekdays and 9:30 pm and 8 am Sat, Sun and holidays - I will do the same so we don't wake each other - Please plan accordingly if you plan to shower during your stay
* Please keep bedroom door closed as to not let the cats sneak in should they make it past the gate. The cats are not allowed upstairs and absolutely NOT allowed in the bedroom at any time
* The heat is set @ 68 in the bedroom and is not adjustable
* Space heaters are not allowed
* Please do not open the window with the heat on
* The window opens from right to left. There is a screen in it. Please always shut the window when leaving, northeast weather is very unpredictable and will go from sunshine to rain in a moments time
* Please shut all the lights off upon leaving
* There is no A/C so it can get a bit warm in the room in the summer - there are a couple fans in the room
* Please NO food or beverages, other than water or capped beverages in the bedroom, no cans. Please eat in the kitchen
* The only food/beverages provided are coffee with milk and sugar, white bread and butter (which you are free to help yourself to). Bread and coffee are in the freezer. If the butter is not on the counter check the fridge or freezer. Feel free to use toaster. Please feel free to help yourself to ONE Nutri Grain Bar as well per day
* The plate/cup/utensils in the cabinet to the left of the sink are for your use – the plate is microwave safe
* Feel free to drink the water in the Brita container in the fridge
* Green towels/wash cloth are in the second draw of the dresser for you to use. Please do not use or move my blue bath towel
* Please use the bathroom fan when showering to reduce condensation and so I can hear that you are in there
* The draw closest to your bedroom door in the upstairs bathroom is empty if you would like to use it. The top drawer in the downstairs bathroom is also empty and you are welcome to use that.
* There is a towel hook on the bedroom door in your room for you to hang your used towels
* Spare pillows/blanket are in the closet dresser. Please leave them out if used so I know to wash them
* I am sorry but there is no cable
* The TV in room has an Amazon Prime Firestick that you can use. If you buy any movies / shows you will be charged for them
* Men please respect that you are in a woman's house and put the seat back down
* Smoking is outside only
**there is a butt bucket out front next to window
* Please take your shoes off when come in the house
* The dishwasher does not work - please hand wash any dishes used - you can leave them in the dishwasher to dry - I don't mind washing one or two but if you cook a full meal please clean up after yourself
* Only one off street parking space is provided
* Please sleep under the sheet. It is much easier to clean than the comforter.
* To operate the shower - when in the tub pull the big knob towards yourself and it will come on. Please be sure to turn the water off all the way. You may have to push it a bit hard. If you can't get it all the way off please make sure it's on COLD
* NO DRUGS are allowed in my place. I will call the police

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
