We have a four-bedroom home in Chula Vista, which is just south of downtown San Diego. It's nicely decorated, homey, with a friendly family that's interested in cultural exchange. There's also a garden, patio, and backyard. We have two vigorous children, a 2-year-old daughter, and a 4-year-old son (who's in school during weekdays). The kids are a lot of fun, and enjoy our guests, but be aware they do make noise from time to time. It's just part of the family aspect. We'll provide dinner about 6:00 PM. Food is tasty and healthy, with a significant Asian influence. If you're a student and need to get to a certain school, please check Google Maps to understand the travel requirements relative to our location. If you're here for a long stay, consider getting a car to explore the area and to come and go as you please. The ideal match for us is a Japanese student who wants to stay at least a month, but we're also open to others.

About the Area
We are a few blocks from the E Street trolley station which runs to downtown San Diego, and about a 15 minute walk to the downtown / civic center area of Chula Vista. There are plentiful retail shops nearby. It's mostly flat and easy to walk or bike. Sea breezes come in from San Diego Bay.

Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
We're pretty informal here. We just ask that noise at night be minimized (so everyone can get a good sleep). We're generally up by 7:00 AM. No smoking on the property please. That's about it.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
