Marla is amazing! The room and the (enormous) house were meticulously clean and I enjoyed meeting the other international students staying there as well as her adorable dog. There was plenty of private parking as well, since I did drive to Boston from my original location. Super close (~3 minute walk) to the Ashmont train station.
Consideramos que la residencia esta bien equipada y cuenta con ciertas comodidades y facilidades.
Marla was great! She is having a woderful home in a nice area in Dorchester! She lives in a quiet street but its so close to the T-Station (2 min walk). I had two amazing weeks in her house, sharing it with her, a small dog and other guests. Thank you so much!
Marla is a wonderful and caring host, I immediately felt comfortable and at home. She really ensures that all her guests are taken care of.
For the logistics of the stay, it's a really convenient location next to public transportation. Marla also keeps a very clean house. The meal plan was a great option for me and I enjoyed every meal.
I highly recommend staying with Marla if you are looking at coming to the Boston area.
Marla was the most amazing host one could ask for. She made me feel right at home from the minute I stepped onto her property. It was difficult being far away from my home but Marla made everything so much easier. From telling me things about the neighborhood and Boston to making sure I got to see the beautiful sights, she showed me how to get the most out of my stay! Now I have a home away from home. 250 Ashmont Street will always have a special place in my heart.
I spent a happy month in Marla’s home. I went to Boston to attend language school. Marla provided a good language environment for me after school, I chatted with Marla everyday. Marla also take me to good places, such us beach, island etc. I also watched a baseball game with her son Junior, he told me a lot about Red Sox. I always went home very late after baseball game, but I still felt very safe even at 11pm. The house is close to subway station. If you are looking for homestay in Boston, don’t hesitate, stay with Marla in her beautiful home!^~^
Staying with Marla for 6 months was the best decision I've ever taken! Marla and Clifford have truly been like a second family to me. The house is beautiful, Marla is a great cook, and it was an amazing opportunity to discover the USA. It's a homestay I would definitely recommand to anyone visiting Boston for a few days, weeks, months, or years!
Marla is a very friendly and welcoming person, always there for me when I had a problem. She gave me good information to discover the city of Boston. His son Junior is very nice too. They are very hospitable people, always with smile. Thanks for your kindness I won't forget my American experience. Marla's house is very beautiful and large, it is very well placed because it is located right next to the metro station that allows you to move around Boston.
I highly recommend Marla's house, you won't be disappointed.
It was my first experience with homestay but I am very happy to choose Marla. She has been not only a homewoner but also a friend, a sister and a relative to me. I am very very happy to be able to meet someone like her. Thank you for everything Marla.
It was an excellent homestay experience in Marla's home. Marla is a lovely and helpful host, she made me feel very welcome. We talked much about America's culture (food, Politics, history, weather...etc). She gave me good advice where to buy clothes, where to have my hair cut, she even took me for a ride in her car to show me the places in Dorchester, it was one of the best day I had in Boston. Beside that, Marla makes a very delicious meal and I really miss it. Thank you Marla for all, you were so kind to me.
