We have hosted guests both domestic and international from more than thirty different countries including students attending English language schools and universities in the Boston.
I own a Georgian Colonial home. We have plenty of space between our common areas, front ad back yard. In my home every guest has a private room (furnished with a desk and chair, bed table, dresser, private closet, bookshelves and a double or single sized bed). Strong wi-fi is available for everyone. The laundry facility is available to all but guest are expected to purchase their own laundry detergent. Continental breakfast is available to everyone and dinner is served family style seven days a week upon request at a nominal cost.
Commuting is easy. I live only a short 3 – 5 minute walk from the MBTA Ashmont Station on the Red Line. Ashmont Station provides direct access to the entire transit system, the Commuter rail, Amtrack train lines and Logan Airport.

Staying with Ms. Marla was a truly special experience. From the start, she welcomed me with kindness and made sure I felt at home. Her warmth and care made my stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Ms. Marla’s home is more than just a place to stay; it’s a place where I felt supported and cared for. I’m grateful for her generosity and the memorable time I spent in her home.
Thank you, Ms. Marla, for making my stay so pleasant and for being such a wonderful host.

No words can describe Marla except that she is a wonderful mother. I hesitated to ask her how she managed to build such a large and beautiful house, but her commitment to daily tasks and respect for time and food explained the answer. She is lovable and honest, has neighbors who love her, and has a wonderful son who cares for her. Her home and ethical treatment provide a clean and beautiful environment for studying. I wish you and your son a good and happy life with all my heart.

Marla queridaaaaa !!!!! Marla my dear, first I want to deeply thank you for your words and your affection. For me, being in your home was another wonderful and unique experience for everything, for you, for the girls and boys for your air of love, joy and welcome for all of us, it gave me the feeling of a wise, warrior and great woman! No words to thank you for your welcome. Just a lot of gratitude! I'll be back!

Hey there. I’m from Germany and I stayed in Marla's house for 2 months. I didn’t know that this house and the people can turn into a home and a family within 2 months. It was a beautiful experience which I will never forget. Thank you to Marla and my friends. It was not easy for a 18-years old girl to stay away from home that long but Marla took care of me and made my day with her cute smile. Our home is very close to the red line station so it’s very convenient. The house is clean and wonderful decoration. All in all very nice. I’m looking forward to seeing you again.

I had an amazing stay the summer of 2023 with Ms. Marla! Her house is truly, as she states, “a stately lady” and an absolute wonder to live in— in fact, it is protected by the city to preserve this vintage beauty. She has a lovely dog and keeps a very clean home. Marla is a great host— you can expect to get recommendations about places to visit from her, or to just make a few minutes of pleasant chit-chat at the end of the day, as you prepare to eat one of her delicious dinners. I truly made the right decision to live here, and I hope I’ll be able to return if I visit Boston one day. If you’re considering staying here, I hope you will take the leap of faith and choose this Homestay!
