Hey! Our home is 20 minutes from both the airport and city centre by public transport. Our house is located near Edinburgh Zoo, close to lovely woodland walks. Bathroom/shower facilities are shared and we also have a separate WC. We have 2 double rooms and a cosy single available all furnished with either a chest of drawers or wardrobe and nightstand. We have a private garden which is full of wildlife and you are more than welcome to make good use of.

Quiet suburb with excellent transport links to the city centre and airport. 5 minute bus journey or 15 minute walk to local restaurants and shops. Within walking distance of Edinburgh Zoo and nature reserve.

Please keep noise down to a minimum after 10pm.
Ensure that the house is secured when you go out.
Please don’t smoke inside, however smoking is allowed outside.
Please don't invite strangers into our home, if you would like to invite a friend, agree it with me first.
Please ensure your arrival is before 9pm, unless previously agreed. Checkout is 11am.

Catherine and John are excellent hosts! This year I took a show up to the Edinburgh Fringe and myself and my producer were both so happy that we found Catherine and John’s house. The house was clean, with very comfortable beds, and was easily accessible into town via the bus. Not only that, but Catherine and John were really friendly, chatty and made us feel very welcomed. It was also very affordable considering how many others unnecessarily overcharge fringe performers for accommodation this time of year. Thanks Catherine and John! Highly recommended

First of all this was my first time to visit edinbrugh and actually this family made my trip soo great, they are so friendly their home is so clean and everything i need was there , I loved the time I spent with them , if i have a chance to come to edinbrugh i absolutely will stay with them again . I highly recommend this Family to stay with ,

Catherine's and her husband's house is lovingly renovated, furnished and clean.
I felt very comfortable in my cozy room.
They take good care for their guests and truly want to make sure you feel at home.
I was invited to feel free in the house and the sweet garden at all times.
They were very helpful in giving me tips on places to visit and general advice for my stay.
I enjoyed the nice conversations, whenever they arose.
I would recommend Catherin's homestay 100% and whenever I visit Edinburgh the next time, I hope this place will be available.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
