Our 3 bedroomed house is on the A10 a busy dual carriage way, and is approximately 15-20 minutes walk from Cheshunt Train Station. There you can get a fast train into the City of London (Liverpool Street), or the Underground from Tottenham Hale where you can get the Victoria line. Cheshunt is in Zone 8 and the centre of London is Zone 1. You would have to purchase a travelcard for zones 1 to 8 on your Oyster card.

It is a very safe area and neighbourhood, mainly occupied by families.

PAYING FOR YOUR RESERVATION

Please note that all reservations must be paid in full two days before arrival to secure the booking.

Any bookings not paid in advance will be cancelled.

FREE ITEMS

Please help yourself to any of the items in your fridge. Including, towels in the guest bathroom and toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, etc.) in the cupboards. These are all supplied free of charge.

DIRECTIONS TO THE WHITE HOUSE

Closest Train station:
CHESHUNT (15-20 mins walk) - 0.7m
(Cheshunt Station Taxis £5-£7 price range)
1. Turn left when you leave the station.
2. At the end of the road is a roundabout called Cheshunt Pond.
3. Cross the road walk towards the Post Office, and then turn right. There is a bakery, bicycle shop, Delishy, and Dominoes Pizza keep walking up this road, which is called College Road.
4. At the first pedestrian crossing, cross this road to your left. Keep walking on the left-hand side of this road (the side of the fire station).
5. Keep walking up the left-hand side of College Road.
6. Walk past, Elgin Road on your left.
7. Turn left, at the next junction, which is the A10. It has a grey walk-over bridge and a shop on your left.
8. Walk beside the shop and along the narrow pathway - next to the grey bridge.
9. It is leafy green and narrow as you walk along the A10. Keep walking straight until you see houses on your left side only, on the A10.
10. Keep walking until you get to Number 23.

Station:
THEOBALDS GROVE STATION (30-35 mins walk) - 0.9m (no taxis only a bus stop).
1. Stand at the bus stop outside the station.
2. The 251 to Hammond Street will take you to Elgin Road (follow steps 7-10 above). The 242 to Potters Bar will take you to Elgin Road (follow steps 7-10 above). The 310 bus to Hertford. Get off at Cheshunt Pond (it stops just before the pond).
3. Walk ahead towards the pond. Tesco is across the road on your right.
4. Turn left at the pond. Keep walking on the left, which is College Road.
5. Follow steps 5-10 above.

Station:
WALTHAM CROSS (50 mins walk) - 1.7m
Waltham Cross Taxis
1. Take the train one stop to Cheshunt, then follow steps 1-10 above.
2. Take a taxi to 23 Great Cambridge Road, EN8 (£7-£9 price range)
3. Walk 5 mins to Waltham Cross Bus Depot.
4. From Stand D, take the 310, 242 or 251 (detailed above).

No refunds:
There are no refunds for non-refundable bookings.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Parking:
Farm Close (on A10), roads off of College Road; Elgin Road;
Manston Close; Tyfield Close. From Littlebrook gardens turn into a dead-end road called Woodcote Close, take the first right into Albany Walk. Shortcut - All roads lead to Albany Walk, head towards the A10, and turn left onto the A10.

Room Entertainment: Flat-screen TV with streaming channels.

The room you have booked is located on the first floor and is accessible by a flight of stairs.

DISABLED GUESTS

The White House is not equipped to cater for disabled guests. It is recommended that you book an establishment that has disabled access and facilities.

Please ensure that you have read your booking terms (i.e. whether it is non-refundable or flexible). If flexible, please note the number of days you are allowed to cancel without incurring any charges. Non-refundable bookings are non-refundable.

    Millicent is very welcoming and helpful, very nice clean room in good surroundings with good transport access.

How do I book?

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

When do I pay?

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.

When can I share my contact details?

Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
