Easy going, tranquil home not far from the vibrant Gloucester Road, a short bus ride away from the city centre. The neighbourhood is Horfield, a leafy green safe place for someone who wants to enjoy a quiet, relaxed, laid back place to stay.
There is a large back garden to chill out in. The room is for ONE person only.
Happy to share info about places of interest and such like and maybe the occasional glass of wine or meal. I have taken early retirement, so around the house quiet a lot pottering around.
You are welcome to use the kitchen / dinner to heat up and consume meals. The house is pretty rustic, it has basics like fast broadband but no fancy trimmings such as marble work surfaces or expensive gadgets. Would prefer someone who is interested in staying for one- 4 weeks.

About the Area
My home is 3 miles north of Bristol City centre, in a quiet, green leafy, safe location in a clean air zone. Parking is quick, easy and free. There is a regular, fast, reliable bus service to the city centre.

Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
My home is a smoke and drug free place. OK with alcohol consumption so long as it is moderate.
Unfortunately pets and partners will be unable to stay.
If you would like to have a friend over for a brief visit, please consult first, as it's disconcerting to stumble across complete strangers in your own home.
Guests can use the kitchen to prepare light meals, teas and coffees. Long laborious dishes, or strong smelling foods such as fish or red meat would definitely not be appreciated. Please clean up after yourself as you go along.
If you like loud music, blaring radios or TVs, then this probably isn't going to be the right place for you.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
