We have a double room with countryside views available in our lively but friendly family home. 2 miles to the hospital, located near the tarka trail, and a 20 minute walk along the river into Barnstaple town.
We are an active family of 4 , with 2 young children (6&4) and a very friendly labrador, 2 cats and a handful of chickens. We love living by the sea, enjoy surfing, travelling, music and keeping fit. I work as a physiotherapist locally and my husband works for social services.
There is a separate sitting room/study for your own space, and a clean comfortable double room with a shared family bathroom.
Discount available for longer stays. Happy to host medical staff or students short term. Longer stays only at present due to covid.

About the Area
We are located in a beautiful and safe Village on the edge of Barnstaple. 20 minute walk to town centre/train station. 20 min drive to local beaches. Close to exmoor and many other areas of outstanding natural beauty. 10 minute drive to hospital, and just a few hundred metres from the Tarka trail.

Lovely place to stay. Very friendly and welcoming, with the freedom to come and go as I needed to. And a really comfortable nights sleep.

Die Familie war sehr freudlich und hilfsbereit. Zwei große Hunde waren sehr gut erzogen. Trotz zweier kleiner Kinder war es ein ruhiger Aufenthalt. Das Zimmer war groß und das Bett sehr gut.
Das gemeinsame Bad hatte eine Badewanne zum Duschen. Die Küche darf mitbenutzt werden, dafür muss man Tiere mögen, da diese sich in der Küche und im großen Essbereich aufhalten (2 Labradore und Katzen).April 2018

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
