Hello, Hola and Bonjour to Everyone!
We're an Anglo-French couple that met here in BCN around 7 years ago. We're very outgoing, respectful and love a multicultural & diverse environment. We're used to meeting people from all over the world, so we're very happy to open our beautiful tranquil home to fellow like minded people.
In our house we have two room options!
1. Private double en suite: You'll have your own private double room within our living quarters with private en suite bathroom/shower, and also have access to a well maintained fully equipped kitchen, wifi, washing machine and all mod cons. The living room opens up onto a large terrace, boasting beautiful plants, dart board and panoramic mountain views!
2. The Basement Studio Sanctuary:
The sanctuary is a basement studio; entirely private, with a separate door and keys from our living quarters. It has bathroom, shower, kitchen, living space and a double bed, along with a sofa bed. Wifi is limited in this room as it is the basement of the property. Outside you'll find a quaint patio and a serene garden with panoramic mountain views! The garden is communal just with my partner and I, who, during your stay will just be there to feed the plants from time to time :)
**If renting the private double room, you will have full access to the terrace but not the basement garden, so as to maintain the privacy of our guests and therefore, if renting the basement studio you will have access to the garden, but not the terrace upstairs**
You'll find our house situated just outside of the centre, in the Carmel neighbourhood with fantastic bus connections (no.24, 22 and V19) running every 5 minutes (around 25-30 mins to the centre and placa catalunya), which also correspond with the metro lines - making it easy to get around the city whilst maintaining a calm atmosphere with unparalleled views of the city. The closest tourist attractions within walking distance are Gaudi's Park Guell (c. 10mins) and The Bunkers (5-10). You can also walk to the Sagrada familia in 25 minutes.
Whichever room you choose to stay in, all bed sheets and towels are provided :)

About the Area
You'll find the room situated just outside of the centre, in the Carmel neighbourhood with fantastic bus connections running very frequently, which also correspond with the metro lines - making it easy to get around the city whilst maintaining a calm atmosphere and immense vistas.
The closest tourist attractions within walking distance are Guadi's Park Guell (c. 10mins) and The Bunkers (5-10), and Turo de la Rovira (5 -10 mins). There are two large parks with incredible views of the city around 5 minutes walk away, and the airport is around a 15 minute drive.

Olivier et Maéva sont des personnes très agréables, sympathiques, ouvertes, communicatives qui prennent soin de leurs locataires. Ils partagent aussi volontiers les conseils pour un bon séjour avec les détails sur les transports en commun, restaurants, courses, ...Ce n'était que du bonheur ! Merci à vous deux. Je recommande vivement.

that is probably searching for a great time time in Barcelona, let me reveal you: You just found the warmest, coolest, and chillest spot of the city!
Maéva and Oliver are great hosts. We never had a more welcoming atmosphere on our bicycle trip than in Barcelona.
If you choose to stay with them, you won't regret it...or even more correct: If you choose to not stay with them, you might regret it!

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour chez Olivier et Maeva ! Nous vous recommandons vivement, un accueil chaleureux, l’endroit est pittoresque et il y a tout ce qu’il faut. La literie est confortable.
Bref, si nous revenons à Barcelone, nous repasserons sans doute par eux !

Une semaine merveilleuse en famille à Barcelone avec un accueil chaleureux et convivial de Maéva et d'Oliver. Des hôtes aux petits soins dans un cadre très agréable. Mention spéciale pour ce très joli jardin sur les hauteurs de la ville. Je recommande vivement. Au plaisir!!!

Un grand merci à Oliver & Maeva pour leur chaleureux accueil, nous pouvons passé 5 jours dans leur studio à la découverte de Barcelone, un emplacement idéal, au calme avec un arrêt de bus à coté de la maison qui vous amène au centre de de la ville ... un chouette jardin privatif qui permet de se détendre après une journée de marche, une belle vue sur la ville. Un séjour au top, nous reviendrons ....

Nous avons un très bon séjour. Beaucoup de bons points pour cette location :
- le prix est un super rapport qualité-prix pour Barcelone. l'appartement est assez spacieux pour un couple avec enfant de 6 ans. Un énorme plus pour la terrasse.
- l'emplacement sur une colline en dehors du centre ville permet d'apprécier une très belle vue et le calme, tout en étant a deux pas des transport en commun qui nous amène directement dans le centre de barcelone. Très appréciable après une journée de marche et de visites.
- l'excellent accueil d'Oliver et Maeva ! Malgré l'heure tardive a cause du retard de notre avion, ils ont pris le temps. Ils avaient même pensé à des yaourts pour notre petit bout ! Toujours le sourire et pleins de bons conseils pour visiter, s'orienter et naviguer dans Barcelone, se ravitailler... Toujours disponible par téléphone pour répondre à nos questions. Un gros plus, ils parlent anglais espagnol et français.
- pour une location d'une semaine, les draps et serviettes sont changés au cours du séjour.
Bref, le top !October 2023
Oliver was very helpful with everything and very welcoming for us. The place had the most beautiful view of the city you could imagine. We had access to a private garden as well, where we could eat breakfast or drink coffee. Thanks for the hospitality!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
