We are a quiet, considered, clean and tidy family. Our hobbies are cooking international food, growing vegetables and fruit, gardening, walking, swimming, reading, music and watching movies.
This is a family home in a very nice quiet area.
The lounge, dining room and kitchen decks all have expansive 180 degree views of the city and our guests are welcome to make use of all these areas.
We have unlimited broadband. Linen is provided and the laundry is being done for you. Our house is about 50metre walk to the bus stop and 3 stages by bus to Auckland City. Ten minutes’ walk to the local shops and close to the motor way.
Downstairs is a very spacious double bedroom, with a double and single bed in it. It has its own toilet, handbasin, hot/cold water across the corridor. The shower is in the middle level. The room has tables, chairs, a cupboard and heater.
We provide quality sheets and towels.
The middle level has an open living, dining and kitchen area, a separate toilet and a shower/bathroom.
On the top floor we have a few very nice and warm clean single furnished rooms available. They come with a beautiful view, a single bed, desk, chair, built in wardrobe, fan and heater. Ther's another bathroom and separate toilet on this level.

Big and beautiful house in Lynfield, a very good location.
The inside was clean and tidy but the most valuable I found there was the lovely family who hosted me. They were very nice and kind to me, so I felt as home.April 2023
Leider gibt es hier Abrechnungsdifferenzen bzgl. geforderten Preis für angemietetes Zimmer. Zugesicherte Berücksichtigung einer nicht in Anspruch genommenen Nacht wurde vor Ort abgelehnt. Zudem wurde zum Doppelzimmertarif ein zusätzliches Bett für insgesamt 2 Erwachsene berechnet. Die extra geforderten 90 Dollar sind auch nicht in der Buchungsabrechnung von homestay hinterlegt. Leider sehr unseriöse Abrechnungspraxis. Definitiv nicht weiterzuempfehlen. Lage öffentlich nur bedingt erreichbar. 8km vom Zentrum. Homestay kann mich hierzu gerne persönlich anrufen.

Harald booked to stay for March at our place. He then changed his mind, saying he'd booked for the wrong month and wanted me to cancel the booking. Harald had made the error. The cancellation reads that I had cancelled the booking.
Harald then booked our spacious room downstairs, as this was the only one available, for April. A few days before his arrival he asked if he could bring a partner. I agreed, told him that this room has a double bed as well as a single bed in it, and I informed him of the extra cost.
The day before they were due to arrive, he emailed me saying that they were now arriving a day later as planned.
When he finally arrived, (at 11.15 instead of 9pm as planned) he threw his open suitcases through our front door, scratching the paintwork in the process, and cursing his partner/companion and everything else in sight. He was constantly arguing with his partner, and our other guests were appalled by his behaviour. Then he didn't want to pay for the three nights he'd booked.February 2023
The host cancelled the booking 5 days before the arrival date.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
