Denis and I live together in the suburb of Dundrum,a five minute walk from the Luas which will bring you to Dublin City centre and a 15 minute walk from University College Dublin.We have two children who no longer live at home.
We are easy-going and fairly unflappable.I like reading,theatre,Art,cooking,Pilates and walking.Denis likes politics,maths, rock music and the natural world.
Before switching to the Homestay platform we hosted students and teachers from an English Language school in Dublin.

About the Area
Our house is located on the south side of the city,20 minutes by Luas (which is very close to the house)from the city centre.U.C.D. is a twenty minute walk from the house.Dundrum Town Center(the biggest in Europe,I think!) is a 15 minute walk from the house as is the pretty little village of Dundrum.
Dundrum is a safe and friendly place,an ideal location as you are close to the hustle and bustle of the city yet only a short journey back to peace and tranquillity
By car it is easy to access the sea,the mountains.woods and countryside.

I spent two weeks at Siobhán’s house. It was my first time in Ireland and I had a great time. Siobhán and Dennis were always willing to help and listen. They are also honest and considerate. Thanks to them, I was able to quickly adapt to the new city. The property is located in a quiet, safe area with easy access to the city center, approximately 30 minutes away and Dundrum Shopping Center (Dublin's largest shopping centre). The house is beautiful and both rooms that the owner proposes are clean, comfortable, spacious and well-equipped with essentials.

Stayed with Siobhán and Denis for almost two weeks and felt very comfortable. They are lovely people and it was a pleasure to meet them and having a chat now and then in the kitchen. Thank you for having me!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
