We do not like to talk about money & material once you are at our home. Negotiations in payment may hinder us in serving you to the fullest wholeheartedly. This is not a Hotel or a commercial space. This is a residence (everything may not be perfect, but everything will be Human). This is our home, you are our Home guests, & we are your local friends here to guide you in every aspect of your experience. We would look forward to establishing good interpersonal relations. We expect you to also act in a cordial way and not fuss over material amenities. If you feel something is missing, you can give feedback in writing & leave reviews No wastage or taking away of amenities. There are various artefacts, food items, books/literature, toiletries, linen, electronics, décor items and other amenities kept in the house for your comfort and convenience. Please feel free to use the available items but wastage, destruction or take-away of amenities is strictly not permitted. Please explain it to children and accompanying staff/drivers. Read the offering details carefully properly before booking. Do not expect us to provide you any services that are not mentioned in our pre-booking communications, even if some other place you know provides those facilities. We are not liable to provide you any refund if you do not read everything carefully before booking. You may contact us anytime if you have any doubts how to use the space/amenities. Staff would work for you/help you in maintaining the space. We keep limited staff since this is a residence. Primary duty of the staff is to take care of the property and get it ready for guests. They will cook for you if, guests don’t want to cook themselves. Help us save Water and Electricity! It is not your right to waste resources even if you think you have paid for it. We are a socially and environmentally conscious tourism venture and do not allow any private right to our guests over public/community resources. We strongly discourage mass tourism practices that you may take for guaranteed in Hotels. Do not leave lights or heating switched on when you leave for outside. Don’t use any linen to wipe anything but clean water. Do not carry food to bedrooms and wash before getting into beds. In case of natural calamities, droughts or water crisis, or power failures, guests may have to ration and share resources. Maintain Civic Behaviour inside and outside the property. Strictly don’t put any tissues, garbage or food in the sink or commode. always Use Dustbins. Do not litter out of the windows or on street. Try to carry back the plastic you generate to cities like Delhi and Chandigarh where they have facilities to recycle. Do not feed dogs or monkeys on the street it is an offence in Shimla. How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
