Marilyn is a nice person. She managed to get our car in a parking and she and her family were so nice to us, it was a calm and nice stay in her home.

We were 4 adults and it is difficult in Cuba to fins b&b's that can accommodante that many people. Marilyn was an exception. We found our three days with her to be very enjoyable: the super breakfasts with plenty of fruit and good coffee. We arrived during the Trinidad music week and although it was very noisy until midnight (with a stage and youth groups just a block away), the ambiance was terrific. Every day there were groups playing and the town was full of tourists from everywhere as well as crowds of Cubans. We very much enjoyed the restaurants (especially La Cieba). Marilyn arranger for a cab to bring us up to the Camino cubano and we walked and climbed for 2 hours up to a spectacular waterfall. Another day we went to the Ancon beach - absolutely spectacular. It wasn't the first time we had been there but it the beach and the water were super warm compared to Varadero. At Mehr end of our stay, our toast arranged for a driver to bring us to Havana for 125 pesos - a very good deal. Would not hésitante to go back to Trinidad or to Marilyn's place.

Marilyn's casa was our favourite place to stay in Cuba. She and her family were just so friendly and helpful, giving us lots of advice on what to see in Trinidad and she organised our taxi for us to return to Havana too. She doesn't speak English, so a bit of Spanish goes a long way (as with everywhere!) but she was the kindest lady and served up a delicious breakfast too for just $2.50CUC, which we loved! The breakfasts were huge and included fruit, omelette, salad, cheese and ham toasties, bread, biscuits, coffee, tea, fresh juice etc etc. We had the room on the terrace which was big and very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It had a fridge and good air-con and the bathroom was really nice too. Marilyn also had internet access, which was very handy (a tricky thing to find in Cuba!). The terrace is beautiful and the house is on a quiet street in a perfect location for exploring Trinidad - with lots of restaurants etc nearby - we also would recommend a trip to Playa Ancon and go and visit the nearby waterfalls too - we went on a guided hike (guide definitely recommended as we came across a few lost parties enroute!) via a beautiful, fresh pool for swimming, caves and a magnificent waterfall, all set in the jungle! Trinidad was our favourite place in Cuba and I would say that it is more friendly, clean and laidback than Havana. If you get the chance to stay with Marilyn then it'll be even better!
