Amazing breakfasts; really good location in the Centro Historico of Santiago; super-friendly hosts.

This was a lovely room in a beautiful old colonial building. Niris and Alfredo were friendly and welcoming and despite the language barrier we were able to communicate quite well (my boyfriend spoke some Spanish and without that we would probably have struggled a bit). The location is great, with easy access to all parts of the city by foot, though as other reviewers have mentioned, it is on a busy main road and sometimes there was noise from the road (worst early in the morning when rush-hour is in full swing). Breakfasts were delicious with fresh fruit, bread, freshly made juice and coffee and Niris sent us her own guide to the city which was really helpful. On the last day, my boyfriend wanted to pick up some local cigars and Alfredo was extremely helpful taking him to a local shop and making sure he got a good price. If traffic noise wouldn't be a problem for you, we would definitely recommend this casa.

Niris and her family were lovely hosts! The casa has the quaint charm of old colonial building, we loved it. The breakfasts were delicious. The room was spotless. The location could not have been any better. The only drawback is the noise level, which is unbearable, and which was not mentioned in the description. At least earplugs should be provided... But other than than is was great!

Alfredo is a very sweet guy (see that smile in the photo!) His staff are also very nice. House is on a main road so could be a little noisy, but I had no problem sleeping. Breakfast is filling enough, with fresh juice and strong coffee. Clean.

Poor location on very busy fume filled main road. Impossible to sit on terrace due to noise and fumes that also filterd into bedroom. Air con was louder than ships boiler room. Host and family were very kind and helpful though.

Accueil très bon, mais bruit de la ru insupportable

Niris and her husband are very accommodating. The problem is the location of their casa. It is on a very busy intersection. As a consequence it is extremely noisy and the air pollution from the trucks is overwhelming. We were scheduled to stay several days, but left after one. As nice as Niris and her family were, I cannot recommend staying there.

We stayed here with my boyfriend in this beautiful casa for 2 nights. Had a great time! Clean, safe, convenient.
Right in the center. Our hosts were Exceptionally lovely. We were able to converse in English as our Spanish is poor. We had a generous breakfast we really enjoyed right on the balcony outside our room.
This is a good value for money, I would recommend this homestay. We would defo come back! The only issue was noisy neighborhood due to traffic on the street right outside, but that's pretty common in Santiago. We couldn't choose better:)
Thanks for your hospitality:)
