Ideal for large groups who want to know the city of Camagüey and taste typical dishes of Cuba. What was a sketch written on a napkin from the 50's by the famous architect Oscar Niemeyer; it becomes the XXI century in one of the places of greater splendor and renown of the legendary Camagüey. We distinguish the architectural design of the 1950s, with a high standard, conservation and beauty; making it one of the ideal places to stay, taste typical dishes of Cuba and enjoy the city.
*** Our history ***
After the 50's of last century, when the wealthy Camagüeyan husband Barreto Hernandez made one of his accustomed trips to South America. On that occasion, during a lunch, they shared with the prestigious Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer, who sketched on a napkin in the manner of a sketch, which would become the original idea of the house, today a heritage of architecture in Camagüey. The place chosen for the concertation of the work was the nascent Distribution Port-au-Prince, conceived after the parceling of the Washington City Estate in October of 1923, former property of Mr. Grecencio de Varona, unique urbanization in the way of direct access to the airport of the city, the port of Nuevitas and Playa Santa Lucia, at that time. The napkin was delivered to the famous architect Germán Delamartter-Scott Tapia, who projected and registered the plans on December 21, 1959 as file 2190 of the branch of the National College of Architects in the region making it the most representative housing of rationalist architecture of Camagüey. The Port-au-Prince Partition became a symbol of the emerging higher classes of Camagüey society, such as the then Minister of Agriculture Álvarez Fuentes, the Superintendent of the Luis Barreto Railways, famous doctors such as the Gynecologist-obstetrician Dr. Abel Marrero, Dr. Manuel Sorís Martín, the representative of the pharmaceutical firm Zandoz, Dr. Adolfo Marrero, family of the General Mambí, of the Vega and the historian of the city Gustavo Sed.

House Rules
The arrival is totally flexible as well as the departure. To secure your reservation we prefer to receive a 50% of the total amount of the reservation with a week in advance by means of AIS card, for this once the reservation is confirmed we will give you all the data to make the transfer.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
