A small family with an additional room available ideal for an international student looking to study in the GTA, Durham region of Ontario Canada. The institutions of Trent University, Durham college and UOIT are within close commuting proximity. We're quiet, friendly and willing to accommodate the suitable candidate with the best environment for studying, relaxation and enjoying two healthy meals per weekday, and supper only on the weekend.

About the Area
Our home is in a relatively quiet neighbourhood with most shopping facilities close by including parks, banks, restaurants (St. Louis bar and Grill, Pat & Mario's, Starbucks, McDonalds, Wendys, Tim Hortons, all within walking distance) grocery, gyms, ice skating arena and the lake which is all within commute by bus if so inclined. There are also electronic stores, home improvement stores and a Walmart as well.
The local transit (DRT) is within three minutes walk of our home, and will take you directly to school or the train station (GO Transit) as well if necessary. The system is clean, timely and inexpensive for students to use.

House Rules
Bathroom is only shared with one other person
Personal hygene is very important as well as cleaning up after self whether own bed room or bathroom. Personal items can only be kept in own room. Friends and family can visit at any time within reason and with notice. Breakfast and dinner are provided during the week and only dinner on the weekend. Washing of personal dishes, clothing and utensils are expected and disposal of own garbage as well.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
