Our home is cozy, clean, newly renovated to host students comfortably, with their private space. I live upstairs with my two children (boys 7 and 8 year old). My home is very welcoming and we love hosting! Our neighborhood is very close to public transit, walking distance to grocery stores, bakeries, pharmacy and a 10 min walk to a community centre with free access to outdoor pool, tennis and basketball courts, as well as walking trails.

About the Area
Our house is located on the north side of the city, in a quiet and safe suburb. We are 14km from downtown toronto, and about a 20-25 minute drive from Toronto Pearson Airport. The bus stop is about a 7 min walk from our house. There are a couple of bus options from this stop. Walmart is also a 7 minute walk, with a pharmacy inside.

House Rules
-Strictly prohibited smoking inside/near the house.
-Access to the Internet is included in the homestay fee. Your reasonable use of the internet is required.
• Reasonable use means no downloading or streaming of large files, videos, and music. Please use the Internet for studying and communicating with your family and friends for a reasonable time. Always observe quiet and sleep time as a respect to other people in the household.
Committing cybercrime or any illegal activity in Canada will result to immediate expulsion of the student without REFUND.
-We encourage you to lock your valuables in your luggage.
Shower
• Personal cleanliness is important. Please shower regularly.
• Please limit your use to 1 shower a day and 10 minutes as the bathroom is most likely shared with other people in
the house. Please always clean after yourselves after each bathroom use.
• You are responsible for cleaning the bathroom when the bathroom is only for the student(s).
• Toiletries not included
Bedding and Laundry
• We will provide sheets, blankets, and a pillow. It is recommended to bring your own towel.
• The use of the laundry is available once a week. Extra fee will apply if more than once a week.
• We will give you specific times for laundry usage.
• Guests including overnight guests are not allowed in any event unless you receive permission

Certain types of serious misconduct may lead to the immediate dismissal/expulsion of the student on a “zero tolerance” basis. Such conduct includes, without limitation, the use or delivery of alcohol or drugs (including recreational cannabis); any form of discrimination, bullying or harassment.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
