Huge ancestral house in a quiet forest 15 minutes by car from down town Quebec, and from 2 ski stations! Wood stove, 2 firesides, swimming pool and terrace. The other side of the street is the Lake St-Charles where you can ski in the winter, or kayak and swim during summer. We speak french, english and a bit of spanish.
We are a family of 3. We and our 19 year old boy love to travel and meet people from all over the world!

About the Area
Our huge ancestral house is located north of the city, 15 minutes by car from downtown Quebec and all its attractions; Stoneham ski center, LeRelais ski center, Château Frontenac, Montmorency Falls, Old Quebec, Quartier Champlain, Cruise on the Louis Joliette, etc. You can go kayaking and swimming in Lake St-Charles which is across the street from the house. At the back of the house we have a swimming pool and a large terrace that will allow you to enjoy nature.

Notre immense maison ancestrale est située au nord de la ville, à 15 minutes en voiture du centre ville de Québec ainsi que toutes ses attractions; Château Frontenac, Chutes Montmorency, Vieux Québec, Quartier Champlain, Croisière sur le Louis Joliette, etc. Vous pourrez faire du kayak et de la baignade dans le lac St-Charles qui se trouve de l'autre côté de la rue, en face de la maison. À l'arrière de la maison, nous avons une piscine et une grande terrasse qui vous permettront de profiter de la nature.

The hosts were kind and welcoming to us when staying at their lovely home! The guest room had plenty of space for me and my companion's luggage along with the television and private tub. Relaxing here by the lakeside really makes you feel warm and cozy away from wherever you're visiting from. Plus, the hosts gave us a list of things to check out while exploring Quebec City for the first time. One thing to note is, although the shower door is easy to open from the outside, it is a bit difficult to open from the inside, especially with soapy/slippery hands. A sort of handle that won't damage the door might make it easier to open for guests coming out of the shower.

Un séjour très agréable et reposant chez Marjolaine.
L'accueil y est chaleureux, et toute la famille est présente, sympathique, sans être envahissante. En prime, la chambre est spacieuse et la literie de très bonne qualité.
N'hésitez pas, si vous devez passer à Québec tout en voulant rester à l'abri de la cohue citadine, l'hébergement que Marjolaine propose est l'endroit idéal !September 2023
Marjolaine et Eric sont de très belles personnes, très agréables et disponibles. Nous avons passé un merveilleux moment, tout était juste parfait. La maison est magnifique, la chambre ne manque de rien et le lit est plus que confortable. Le petit plus le bain à remous ! Qui a d'ailleurs était très appréciable après la balade en kayac sur le lac, qui était simplement plus que paisible. Nous avons également partagé un repas ensemble avec leur fils Vincent qui est un jeune homme tout à fait charmant, à l'égal de ses parents. Très belle rencontre, je recommande ++++++ et y retournerai avec un très grand plaisir. Merci.

Une belle surprise vous attends quand on entre dans cette chambre chaleureuse avec un cachet qu'on retrouve dans les vieilles maisons de pierres. Le lit est très confortable et comme extra un bain tourbillon ainsi qu'une télévision se trouve dans cette belle chambre. Très propre et Marjolaine est une hôte très accueillante et sympathique. J'ai passé une excellente nuit dans le silence. A réserver les yeux fermés
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
