Our family immigrated to Canada in 1999 and we have been hosting international students since 2001.
Our home is very close to bus stops 240 Downtown ( 2 minutes walking distance ), 255 Capilano University ( 3 minutes walking distance ), 229, 230 Lonsdale Quay and 232 Grouse Mountain ( 8 minutes walking distance ), Lions Gate Hospital ( 4 minutes walking distance ), North Vancouver City Library ( 11 minutes walking distance ) and all the grocery stores, supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, gyms, banks, medical clinics and laboratories on Lonsdale ( 8 minutes walking distance to Lonsdale and 15th Street ).
We renovated the entire house about 7 years ago.
The upstairs where the bedrooms are located has a private setting with washroom, laundry and kitchen ( Cooking on the stove and oven is NOT allowed. Guests are allowed to use the fridge, microwave, coffee maker and toaster.), dining and living room.
So just come with your suitcase to enjoy, relax and have fun while you stay with us in beautiful North Vancouver.

About the Area
Our house is located in a quiet area but walking distance to all amenities; hospital, medical clinics, grocery stores big and small, boutiques,banks, restaurants, coffee shops, library, gyms and bus stops that can take you directly to the heart of downtown Vancouver, Grouse Mountain, Seabus, Dundarave and Capilano University.

Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
Please take off your shoes when you step inside the house.
Keep clean after yourselves.
You can prepare your meals in the kitchen but use of the oven and stove in the kitchen is not permitted.
Please follow the BC guidelines for recycling.
No fury friends.
No drugs. No partying, drinking and smoking inside the house.
Do not invite friends for sleepover. They are welcome to visit you but notify us ahead of time, please.
Be considerate and respectful of other guests.
Checkin is at 1 pm and checkout is at 11am. Guests are welcomed to drop off or leave their luggage at the house to wait for checkin time or after checkout till they are leaving to the airport for a few hours.
Please know that booking fee is paid to Homestay.com and is separate from the amount you have to pay to the host.
Short stays are asked to pay their stay fee on the first day of arrival in cash and long term stays; over two months, are required to pay the first and last month of their stay on the first day of arrival and in cash and the remainder in on a monthly basis and at the beginning of each month and in cash.
The short term stay fee is non refundable and the long term stays are required to give a full month notice otherwise the last month fee will not be refunded.
The rules are just there to make your stay safe, comfortable and memorable.

The most comfortable house ever. Fara was so kind and accommodating. She was very lovely and helpful with everything. I was new to the country and she showed me the public transport and shops around. She gave me a lot of advice. Really loved it there

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Fara and her family was made to feel at home in the sense I felt I was home away from home wonderful area with shops restaurants and good transport links to Downtown and the sea area of Dundarave which I could not stay away from could not go wrong loved every minute of it

I enjoyed my stay here and if I end up in North Vancouver again, I will not hesitate to stay here. Fara had very friendly house rules and my stay here was very comfortable. I worked at the Lions Gate hospital and it is just five minute walk and grocery shops and restaurants are close by. I wish them all the best.

Fara was very kind and helpful. The rooms are upstairs, whereas most are in dark basements, so this was a big plus! Really enjoyed my stay and will book again here. Thanks Fara and family!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
