Living in front of the sea, listening to the waves, watching the birds… and staying in the city-center of Salvador (Barra/Vitória/ Graça). Our house is an international home, we are located in a small community - the beverly-hill of Salvadors favelas, Vila Brandão. We share our house with long term travelers - students, artists, scientists in seek of good living. Respect and self responsability are the basic rules of our house. Don't expect a standard home - it feels like a beach-house, an artisthome. You have a private room and can use the fabulous terrace, livingroom, varanda or choose to stay more privatly in the little garden, a big ensuite room - with the turtles as neighbours. We also offer the "retreat ensuite", a huge private room with bathroom and independent entrance, on the other shared floor.

About the Area
Vila Brandão is worth an experience! A very small community with the flair of countryside, right on the sea, with a small pier - submerged in nature. The community is safe and quiet (with exceptions), you can reach it only walking. We have a million dollar view (same as the the apartments in Vitória neighborhood), but experience real brazilian life. Vila Brandão has a great restaurant, Cantinho de Jo, a small store and a few bars. In the night, you will find old and young sitting on the square and playing domino.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
