My stay with Karen in Falmer was an exceptional experience. Here are some highlights:
Location:
- The location is incredibly convenient, right opposite the train station, making travel a breeze.
- It’s just a 5-minute walk to the University of Sussex campus, perfect for students.
- The bus to Brighton is very accessible, and there’s also a bus to Seven Sisters, making it easy to explore the area.Accommodation:
- The house is well-maintained and beautifully decorated, providing a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.
- There’s a fridge in the room, which is great for buying groceries in bulk, especially since the nearest supermarket is a bit far.Host:
- Karen is a wonderful host—kind, talkative, and always ready for a good conversation.
- She taught me the European way of cooking, which was a new and delightful experience for me.
- As someone who came to learn English, talking with Karen has been incredibly helpful and enjoyable.Extras:
- The house has a lovely, adorable cat that adds to the homely feel.
- I felt free to be myself and truly enjoyed my stay.If you love engaging conversations and a cozy, well-located place to stay, Karen’s homestay is an excellent choice!

I stayed at Karen's homestay for about a month when I moved to Brighton. The place is right by Falmer station, so easy to get to the University of Sussex campus as well as to central Brighton or Lewes. The room is relatively quiet, even though closer to the station.
Karen was a lovely host during my stay there. We had really nice conversations most days about almost anything. She is also a very passionate musician and a lovely singer.
And then there is John, one of the cutest and fluffiest cat I have ever met. As like most cats, he has a unique personality, but also very friendly.

The host cancelled the booking 11 days before the arrival date.

Karen is a lovely host and we were very pleased to meet her. She was very understanding and compassionate to our needs. The room was great and had everything you could possibly need (appliances, full kitchen, automated blinds and a stereo!)
It’s by a busy road, but if that doesn’t bother you, you won’t find a better place in Falmer!房主回复

Karen was an amazing host with a wealth of knowledge of the area. She was able to direct me to the closest shops as well as the multiple transports links close-by. The studio room itself was extremely pleasant and with the A/C Unit made the stay during the summer very manageable! I would recommend this place to anyone who would like a comfortable place to stay with excellent transport links to the city centre!

It's been a real pleasure to stay in Karen's house. The location is great, near train and bus station to Brighton. Karen is very kind and helpful and the house is just perfect with everything you need, very light and clean.

The studio room was big, bright, airy and contained absolutely everything you might need, even had a private entrance. Karen is lovely too.
