We stayed at Lorraine and Bill's house for 4 nights. They made us feel at home right away and were always very helpful and kind to us. You can tell they put passion into hosting people. Being that we were Italian, they made sure to provide us with a breakfast that we could like, which we appreciated very much! On the last night we decided to have dinner together, and it was a very pleasant and enjoyable evening that we will not forget!
The house is located in a quiet village from which it is easy to get to Edinburgh by bus, and it is very clean and well-kept. The room is large and the bathroom is equipped with everything you may need.
We have wonderful memories of this experience and we can only recommend staying with this loving family!

Lorraine & Bill opened their house to us, and looked after us superbly. The dedicated guest room, guest bedroom and guest bathroom, saw to all of our needs. Breakfasts exceeded ‘a light breakfast’, which was very much appreciated, fuelling us for our long days in Edinburgh. We were given plenty of good advice on using public transport (buses and trams), which we found to be extremely reasonably priced and places to visit. Overall, a very pleasant and successful trip to Edinburgh. We will definitely try to book again with Lorraine, when we return for our next Edinburgh adventure. Highly recommended.

My daughter and I stayed one week in Lorraine and Bill's house! We both enjoyed very much our stay and felt so sad to leave. Lorraine and Bill made us felt immediately at home by their warm welcome. Bill carried upstairs our heavy suitcase and Lorraine even drove us to the supermarket to buy something to eat. Later, my daughter was excited to play the lego and coloring activities that they prepared in advance. She even had a temporary bike and Peppa pig toy during our stay. Lorraine and Bill are both very patient with my daughter, so she wanted to share pictures and music with them! Needless to say, we enjoyed very much Bill's live music concert on the Beetles and Eric Clapton! He also taught my daughter how to sing along with him. It was so beautiful to see how we could connect with each other through music :)
As for the room and the bathroom, they were very clean and comfortable. Also, the breakfast was prepared carefully by the host! It was easy to go to Edinburgh by the X38 bus, not even one minute walk from their house. Every time we went back, we felt relieved because Edinburgh was very crowded during the festival and it was perfect to watched several shows in the town while also had relaxing time at Lorraine and Bill's place! I couldn't recommend more Lorraine and Bill's place more!

I recommend this home stay ! I was very scared because that was my first time traveling on my own and these people take a great care of me. I appreciated talking with them. And even if your English is not perfect like me, they will never judge you and will help you to make you understand. I also enjoyed learning more about their culture and listening and playing guitar with a amazing singer like Bill.
Bill and Lorraine, thank you again for everything, never forget you (except for my apple :)).
