Five hearts just doesn't seem enough of a rating for our stay with Penny. Ten out of Five hearts would be more like it!
My son, Sam, was 17yrs old and on his first solo overseas adventure when he stayed with Penny and her family for two and a half months early this year. Sam travelled to Ireland from Australia to train in Irish Dance. His trip was planned at the last minute and we had hoped to find somewhere for him to stay that was 'homely'. We were truly blessed that we found Penny and her family. Penny went out of her way to make Sam feel at home. The day he arrived, she picked him up from the bus station and got him settled. HIs room was perfect for his stay. We paid a little more for home cooked meals which Sam really appreciated when he returned from classes late at night. He enjoyed kicking the football around with her children, spending time with her dogs and chats with Penny and her husband. Penny also helped me organise a surprise trip over to visit Sam. While I wasn't able to stay with Sam, Penny suggested accommodation close by (another beautiful family), picked me up from the bus station and brought me back to her place to surprise Sam. Penny is such a beautiful lady who genuinely cares. There are so many lovely things I could write about Penny and her family. Sam has so many wonderful memories he has brought home with him. He still talks about his time at Penny's - and so do I. Thank you Penny (and your family) for your wonderful hospitality. xx

I loved staying in Penny's house ! :D She is a very welcoming host, she always asked how was my day and spoke to my friend and I every evening and made us feel very welcoming in her house. She is a great cooker too! :D Her kids and husband are very nice and polite too and their dog Ruby is lovely. The rooms are clean, tidy and there is everything you need in it. The city center is 15-20 minutes by bus from the house.
I RECOMMAND TOTALLY THIS ACCOMODATION ! :D

Absolutely loved staying with Penny and her family. The kids are wonderful and Penny is a very welcoming host. She loves getting to know people, talking to them and if you need any help or advice she is the person to go to. She always made me feel very welcome in her home, which I appreciated the most. The house is big, clean and warm. The rooms are lovely and equipped with everything you need. The bus stops very close to the house so getting to the city centre is quite easy.
Would recommend to anyone who wants to see Galway and experience a bit of Irish culture.

Penny is a lovely and welcoming lady.
She loves having people staying at her place and loves chatting with them. Actually everybody is welcomed as a member of the family which is really pleasant.
Besides she lives in a nice area and thanks to bus 411 it is easy to go to the city center in 15 minutes. If you feel like it you can also walk because the countryside is lovely but it takes about an hour.
I really recommend Penny as a host if you want to find a nice play to stay in Galway. You will have a nice and very clean bedroom with television and Penny cooks yummy dishes!

Penny's family is perfect.
She's usually so warm, vibrant, lively. She can help me feel better.
Penny's children are so loving and sweet that everyone a delight.
And she is such a good cook that even a professional would be put to shame.
So I ate to heart's content at dinner everyday.
I can't speak English very well. But, She try to listened carefully every word I said.
She always tried to help me whenever I needed their help.
I was in a complete dwaal at Penny's home.
I already miss Penny's family. I think that Penny's family is best hospt.
Penny's family who I would highly recommended.
