Amazing place to stay! The host family are so friendly and make you feel right at home. Bao, the son, made our stay amazing. He is so kind and thoughtful, a great friend of ours now as we leave. We were very sad to leave the homestay and will definitely be returning!
The cooking class was also great, definitely worth participating in.July 2018
We arrived at Lai's after an 8 day motorcycle tour and once we found the property it was a welcome relief to sit and chat.
The property is very well thought out with great rooms, wonderful bathroom and very friendly staff/owner.The kitchen is an open area which helps to interact with fellow travelers get ideas for sightseeing and to share where you have been. As this is a new property my suggestion would be a couple of fans to move the air around!
We had a great time here and would recommend a stay to anyone wanting a nice room, you will need transport, but well placed.

I had a wonderful time at Lai's homestay! He was a friendly and accommodating host and it was insightful to be able to talk to him about life in Vietnam. He held a fantastic cooking class for us and his son taught me how to ride a scooter. The rooms were beautiful and the breakfasts were delicious. He was very helpful in organising daily activities and transport and I was able to meet other friendly travellers. I definitely recommend this homestay!

Nice mixture between homestay and Hostel. Lai and is family are trying everything to help you. Not only to make your stay comfortable but also with Tickets and further Hotel-bookings and so on.
Coconut-Bungalow is well seated in the more or less untouched Countryside from Hoi An.
10min per bicyle to the Beach and 30min to Hoi An.Host reply

Lai and his wonderful Family's homestay is admittedly in a Village about 15 Kilometers from Da Nang City centre, but that is it's charm: peaceful, quiet, surrounded by home garden. He delivered far more than he promised in his writeup. He is enthusiastic and cheerful host, who taught me to cook some delectable Vietnamese dishes. His wife, son and daughter made me feel completely at home and I had a real immersive experience of the daily rhythm of Vietnamese life. I visited usual beautiful touristic places of interest [Ba Na Hills, Hoi an, Hue, and of course Da Nang Beach side including Cave Pagodas nestled in the 5 Rocky Outcrops towards it's southern end]; and some off the beaten path trekking and camping sites too thanks to his expert advise. I am travelling alone and therefore his companionship on trips proved immensely valuable. I had come for 3 days, but enjoyed so much ended up staying for 7 days. I came as a guest, but would be leaving as a close friend, who would carry nostalgia in his bosom for some time to come. I hope to return with my granddaughter, daughter, son in law and son in near future to relive the stay. He offers both Room Only as well as Full Board homestay as per visitor's wish. I chose the latter. Highly Recommended HomeStay for those who like Tranquility over hustle & bustle.
