Please be informed that I have moved to a new location since 2021. Now the new homestay is one bedroom in a two bedroom apartment. The building is located in a quieter area, around 10km from the city center. Taking bus 99 in front of the building to get to the main road (around 2km), you can see a lot of buses going to nearly everywhere around the city.
In front of the building is a nice park for walking, running, skating, basketball, doing exercise, dancing, or just chatting with friends or local people.
There are a lot of nice, cheap restaurants nearby. Guests can order to have dinner with us ( 5usd per meal) or use our kitchen (please clean everything up after use)
Additional Info:
Guests will have their own gate keys to get in and out at any time they want.
We can speak English quite well and we'd love to host English-speaking guests.
SPECIAL RATES will be offered to LONG_TERM staying guests.

Thuy was an excellent host, on our arrival we were warmly welcomed and after settling in she took us for refreshing coconut drinks in the park, and thereafter recommeded a restaurant where we experienced our first Vietnamese meal.We strongly commend her for the personal interest she pursued during our stay. Her technical knowledge and assuring our prompt departure whenever we went on our excursions. The apartment was private and comfortable. Our host treated us to a farewell dinner on our last night and the entire family bid us farewell on our departure. Thanks to Thuy for arranging our bus to Cambodia. Great choice of accommodation and a caring host.

Small room but very nice little garden area outside. Convenient near the airport. Thuy and her staff were very friendly and helpful. I even got a birthday cake. Very basic accommodation but more than sufficient.

Thuy and her family made our stay in Ho Chi Minh City wonderful.
We were able to engage in the local neighbourhood and feel very welcome.
Thuy was very helpful and guided us to delicious food, fantastic markets and helped us with maps and bus routes.
The accomodation was very comfortable and having a kitchen to cook in was a fantastic bonus.
I would recommend the homestay with Thuy and her family to anyone who is looking to visit Ho Chi Minh City.June 2016
This place is a haven and all of my expectations were surpassed. Thuy is a very warm and welcoming person and makes you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. Her son Trung is very skilful in the kitchen and cooks an array of local dishes. Eating with the family provides a real insight into Vietnamese cuisine and the way of life here. I would highly recommend it. The bedroom and washroom facilities are faultless and the small garden with hammock is a little gem. Tan Phu, as a location is ideal. The people are so friendly and there are endless street food outlets, coffee shops and market stalls nearby, as well as a fantastic swimming pool. Travelling to the centre by bus is also no problem at all. I am glad I chose this place to stay.
