Private room & bathroom located on the first floor of a three bedroom house. (Only one other room occupied.) Bedroom is very large and bright - 11 x 15, one useable closet. Also, you have access to the whole, large and freshly updated home.
The room for rent feels a lot like its own little apartment. It is located in its own area of the house, with a bathroom right next door. The bedroom is very large and bright! The room has a queen sized bed, arm chair, dresser, bedside table, and desk. You also have access to almost the whole large and freshly updated house (except the top floor). Living room has been updated this year, kitchen updated in 2016, and basement contains basically a full gym (with tonal - gym of the future as I like to call it, exercise bike, and elliptical). It also has a nice lounge area and laundry room. The back yard has a fire pit, lounge and dinner seating areas and vegetable garden - which you are welcome to eat from during the summer months.
House is close to Fort Totten Metro Station (10-15 walk), Brookland, Catholic University, Tacoma Park, multiple bus lines & Providence Hospital.
PAYMENT: I do require 25% deposit to hold the room for you. I can accept payment through Venmo, Zelle, or Paypal. I cannot accept checks or cash. I do have a refund policy 3 weeks before your stay begins. If you would like to cancel before this date, I will refund the deposit.
Also note I do have 2 cats and a young dog. This may not be the right rental for you if you are allergic to either!

House Rules
I’m pretty open to discussion what works for both of us. I do ask for quiet hours during the week starting around 10pm and don’t want parties in my house. Beyond that we can figure out the rest!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
