As our youngest child went off to college, my wife, Nan and I are recent empty nesters. We have 4 available bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms in our 6 bedrooms and 5 full bathrooms single family home on corner lot in beautiful neighborhood of West University Place a trendy neighborhood in Houston, Texas, U.S.A.. My wife, Nan, was and is a full time homemaker raising two wonderful children and managing our house. She helps me with our business when she is available. I am a litigation attorney with many years of college teaching and tutoring experience in business, basic economics, tax, and law. Our house is near Rice University, U. of Houston, U. of St. Thomas, and Houston Comm. College (West Loop Campus). We are looking to host foreign students long term (12 months+) or short term (3-12 months). Our neighborhood is in West University Place area with the nicest restaurants, shops, museums, and cultural spots in the 4th largest city in the U.S., Houston, Texas. About the Area
Our beautiful one story brick house with 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathrooms located in the trendy Central Gardens area only few miles north of University of Houston Downtown Campus, Houston Judicial District with all the modern downtown Houston amenities such as The Post indoor mall with high rise outdoor gardens. This beautiful newly built home is approximately 7 miles from Rice University, U. of Houston, U. of St. Thomas, and Houston Comm. College (Main Campus). We have excellent access to public transportation, shops, restaurants, museums, and cultural spots in a quiet neighborhood near the famous Houston Heights are. My wife, Nan, and I (Bruce) have grown children so we have plenty of rooms to host foreign students who would like to study in Houston, Texas which is now technically the third (3rd) largest city in the United States. How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
