I have 2 college age children and a son who lives out of the home. I work full time and also have a dog. (Australian Cattle Dog). I like to cook and like to spend time at the beach. One of my daughter's is going to be in France for the next school year, so I thought it would be fun to rent to a student for the upcoming school year. I like to go to the gym , yoga class and walk my dog. I also spend time golfing. I think a good fit for the home is someone who likes to be independent. The house is pretty quiet with just me, so a good home for studying or even working from the home. I like to cook meals when I am home and enjoy the company of eating with someone else. But I would never expect to have a set meal time.
The home is located in the suburbs of Providence, Rhode Island. I live one block from the bus stop and the train station is located in. Providence which is only a 10 minute bus ride. The home is centrally located in the state which makes it an ideal location. The beaches are only a half hour away. There is a shopping mall only 5 -10 minute bike ride or 20 minute walk. There are restaurants close by as well. Providence has a few Colleges and Universities so there are many bars and coffee shops in town. Newport, Rhode Island is a great place to visit and only 45 minutes from home. If you like to ski or like the mountains, it is just a 3 hour car ride. However, if you prefer to visit a city, New York City is only a 3 hour car ride in the opposite direction. Rhode Island is a beautiful place to live and visit.

About the Area
Our house is located in a quiet neighborhood 10 min south of Providence. The bus line is 1 block away. A big shopping area is 2 miles away.a grocery store is 1/4 mile away. Tge house is central to RI and about a half hout drive to beaches.
Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
