I have enjoyed hosting homestay students from Japan, Italy, South Korea and Germany. I have a nice room with a twin bed, desk and chair, book shelves, end tables and lamps. The room is light and airy. I live in the city of Costa Mesa which Is 5 minutes to the beach. We get a nice ocean breeze! The bus system is wonderful and we live close to shops, markets and center of the town. We are also not far from the Upper Newport Bay which is a lovely place to take hikes and to just enjoy nature. Homestay includes breakfast and snacks. We do have dogs and cats ---must like dogs and cats! :). My travel experience includes "around the world" as a student on "Semester At Sea" and I completed my internship for my Master's program in Kenya. I love fostering travel, academics and diversity.
I live with my sister in a sweet three bedroom home. I love to garden and hope to have fresh vegies available for all of us. I have three dogs and cats. I love to cook and share meals. I work in Los Angeles as a Community Health Educator and love Los Angeles too! There are a lot of great places to visit in both cities and I hope the student will like to experience the American culture and I can learn from their culture.

About the Area
Our house is away from the road and our neighborhood is very quiet. The bus goes right down our street and street that runs perpendicular to our street. These are a number of small shopping malls very close to the house. The center of town is 7 blocks from the house. Balboa Island is about 15 minutes away and so is the Peninsula which are both great tourist attractions. We are close to Disneyland and Knottsberry Farm. The bay is very close and the ocean is five minutes away. We are close to Hoag Hospital and about 20 minutes from the train station in Santa Ana.

Meals

My stay at Celeste was wonderful,
As I came from a foreign country she helped me feel right at home.
Her house is lovely and perfectly located, good shopping and utilities are
close by. Her pets are lovely and super-relaxed.Once I arrived she was very willing to help me out and tell me what there is to know
about the location.All in all a very nice experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
