Hi, my name is Alex and I live with my 8year old son.
We have a dog (Cookie) and Ruby the cat that are very old and sleep most of the day now.
We live in a quiet area on the fringe of the town. Bus stop 5 mins walk, train station 15 mins walk that offers a great service to Brighton 12 mins and London 50 mins.
We have a large supermarket within 3 minutes walk that caters for most things with a lovely cafe.
Pubs, restaurants and cinema are all within walking distance and we have the Southdown walks within a 10 minutes drive.

Fantastic quiet residential area, offering great walks and countryside.
We do have a large supermarket and pub 3 mins walk away offering a lovely coffee shop.
The town is a 10 minute walk with bars and restaurants and the station is as 15 minute walk with trains to sunny seaside Brighton 12 minutes and London 50 mins.

Room fees to be paid in full on arrival unless prior arrangements have been agreed for long stays over 1 month.
No outdoor shoes to be worn inside the house.
Please be quiet when coming home late.
YOUR ROOM,
We do not enter your room unless we need to. Please ask if you need use of hoover and cleaning materials.
We provide soap, toilet paper and towels.
Please keep noise down after 10pm

I had the pleasure of staying for a couple of nights, and I must say that Alex's hospitality truly exceeded my expectations. She demonstrated remarkable kindness by aiding me with my luggage and even extending her assistance with any logistical matters. Both she and her son Harvey welcomed me warmly. Thank you again Alex!

Only stayed for one night but we wish we could have stayed for longer! Alex and her family were so lovely and welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The room and bathroom were both very clean and the beds were so comfy! So glad we decided to stay here, and will definitely be going back if we visit again! Thank you Alex100% recommend!!!

Alex is a very kind and helpful host. I recommend her house to any traveler who wants to spend an overnight somewhere that can provide the comfort and quietness to rest before hitting the road again.

From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much for Alex. She welcomed us to her home which was beautifully clean and tidy. Our beds were extremely comfortable and we were allocated our own bathroom to use.
We met her son Harvey, who was such a polite young man and we had cuddles off the two fur babies.
Alex went above and beyond by offering to drive us to a restaurant where we had a reservation booked when we couldn’t locate a taxi.
Before leaving, Alex asked if there was anything she could improve on for future reservations. The only thing I could think of was to supply taxi numbers in advance, which is obviously nothing to do with her hosting skills and more to do with the lack of local taxis!!!
Thank you Alex. We had a great weekend & will definitely book you again if we ever return to Burgess Hill.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
