We are young at heart middle aged couple in early fifties living alone downstairs. Our son and his wife, and embark on his own home. We have a beautiful garden with a lovely koi fish pond and a pool on a sort of a main road, in a leavy upmarket suburb with mountain views as well as the view of the well known University of Cape Town, etc but close to malls, eating places and go karting etc....
We have travelled quite a bit internationally so enjoy entertaining people
from across the globe showing off our beautiful country as well as
our culture.
I prepare home cooked meals daily and love baking etc....
some weekends, my husband loves making potjiekos ..... a unique way of cooking here in south africa,..... on the open fire! We have 3 bedrooms downstairs of which hubby and I only use 1.
Upstairs has its own kitchen and lounge area, a computer room, and 2 bathrooms. At present we have 4 bedrooms
Our area is also known for the Newlands Stadium, which is the homeground for rugby and cricket. We have a flat in our back garden that is currently occupied by 2 Mauritian young adults who are also at college... very active sport lovers... playing football for their country often...
Since I am semi retired, I work from home for the private sector in the manufacturing industry. My hobbies also include sewing. spending time with the grandchildren and gardening..

About the Area
Oue house is located in an area close to the city's best schools. About 5 to 10 minutes driving to the wellknown University of Cape Town. From my upstairs view, you can see the university clearly as well as the mountain view. It is central, and about 15 minutes drive from the city centre. (without traffic of course)
Shops are within walking distance. From restaurants to take outs.. Woodies Burgers, Snoekies, Chicken Pizza places, ... Woolworths food, mantellis... Just about anything from dried fruit to stationers, laundrys and a walk in the park.. Safe neighbourhood. Area is used regularly for walks by run for life and many other clubs training from 4am ... the famous Rondebosch common is further down the road and also very popular. Only during peak hours, we have traffic, otherwise once you in the premises, you smell the fresh air from the frungapani trees, you hear the water fountain in the pond.... very tranquil. You can choose to study on the balcony or in the garden...Public transport is bout 10 mins walk
