I'm fun loving, honest, very caring and I love showing people around my city. I'm a people's person. Super friendly. I was fortunate enough to have travelled. I loved Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Argentina and Uruguay. My ultimate favourite hobby is food. I love cooking and would cook for you if you wanted some tasty food. Goingto the local beaches is great and taking some easy walks on the mountain or sometimes a bit more challenging. You'll get a cheap accommodation, with a great host and it's more about the authentic experience that you will have. You will be living amongst the Authentic coloured people of Cape Town. If you want the Authentic Cape Town experience with stories of the past during apartheid days being told by locals, and some of the usual tourist stuff, then this is the place for you.

About the Area
Our house is located on the south side of the city 3kms away from Muizenberg beach. I'm in a relatively quiet neighbourhood. I'm in a old apartheid era typical middle class coloured area. Well situated near to the train station and near enough to beaches. By train it's 8mins to the beach. By car depending on traffic about 7mins. It takes ten minutes to walk to station at a good pace. It gets really quiet at night so if you have no car to go to nearby pubs it can be arranged.

Gilbert and his grandmother were great hosts. On arrival he met us at the bus station, welcomed us and made us feel at home. Although the accommodation was basic he went the extra mile in assisting with daily activities and was instrumental in connecting us with our long lost brother. I guess it was the level of personal service combined with his intimate knowledge of Capetown which made our trip successful. I definitely recommend him to any visitor who wants to experience the "real" Capetown. Thank you Gilbert!
