I'm a digital nomad (I work remotely as a freelance writer/editor for nonprofit organizations) and housesit. I love solo travel, but every now and again, like to stay with locals to really get the "feel" of a place. And, while the pets I look after while housesitting are lovely, they're not great conversationalists!
