My house has 4 floors. First floor: kitchen, leaving room, storage room, bathroom with hot water 24H and one bedroom (with 2 single beds) attached to the bathroom. Second floor: 4 bedrooms (2 with balcony and a queen and a single bed). You can enjoy a beautiful view of the jungle and the mountains from the balcony. At the night with the full moon you get a spectacular view. In the balcony you can enjoy some alone time(listening to music, drinking your coffee or tea). One room has 2 single beds and another one has a king size bed (ideal for couples) next to the bathroom. there is also a living room with a TV where you can spend your free time. Third floor is the host family floor and the fourth floor has 1 big room with 3 single beds. There is a rooftop where you can have a 360 views of the area. You can also enjoy your time up in the rooftop , sunbathing on a sunny day or doing yoga.
My name is Apsara, I am a teacher Register Guide as well and I have been hosting volunteers since 2009. I live with my family: my husband and my 2 boys, one is 21 and the other one is 7 years old. My older son is going to University and the youngest is going to kindergartens. I really enjoy hosting volunteers ( I hosted around 250 people over the last 13 years) because it's the best way to get to know different cultures, different languages and different way of leaving. Thanks to these experiences I was able to build my confidence and independence.
You will be really enjoying your stay because we live in Nagarjun suburb, near White (15 minutes walking distance), Hasantar Nunnery (20 minutes), 5 minutes walks from a gym, 5 minutes walk from the bank. It's a clean and fresh environment and you will spend a nice stay far from the busiest part of the city of Kathmandu. Public Microbus stop next to my house Ramkot jayanti Gau.
This homestay includes 3 meals vegetarian/ vegan meals, tea, drinking water, milk, drinking water, free Wi-Fi, private room with attached toilet, daily yoga, hot shower, room heater (in cold season) .We provide services to 11 travelers at a time. We can also transport you by motorbike to Kalupandey park and Switzerland park 2km far from homestay we can see rhododendron flora and fauna as well. There is also a biking track through to the lush green jungle next to my house for you to enjoy.
Behind my house there is vegetables farm (which you are welcome to help at if you want to experience the local farming) and north side of the jungle and south gumba . We can also organise nagarjun jungle safari at shivapuri national park.

Our Homestay is a homestay volunteer and tourism program for everyone. We hold volunteers from across the world, collaborate with international universities, and accommodate worldwide travelers looking to immerse themselves into a new culture by exploring and volunteering with NGOs and Not-for-Profit organizations.
We aim to provide an opportunity for anyone who wants to learn about Nepalese culture while participating in meaningful volunteering, aiding those living in difficult circumstances or with disabilities to provide a better quality of life. In this homestay, you will eat Nepalese food, interact with Nepalese people, and learn cultural customs.
We provide a safe and private place to live for short-term or long-term stays. We also provide Trekking opportunities, cultural outing programs, and designated volunteer times that fit within your schedule.
House Rules:
If possible please once a week Laundry.
Smoking is not allowed indoors.
Please keep our home secure and lock doors and windows when leaving the house.
Feel free to use the kitchen but please clean up after yourself.
No pets are allowed inside.
Please do not bring strangers into our home. If you would like to invite a friend over, ask first.
Please respect our home but feel comfortable. Treat it as your own house for the duration of your stay.
Please keep quiet after 10 pm.
• Before to leave the room please check your window turn off the light switch and lock your door properly.
• If you want a skip Lunch & dinner please inform Host mom an hour earlier.
• Please respect our cultural and social value.
• Totally prohibited illegal things.

We currently have 5 bedrooms with twin single beds. If you wish to share a room with a friend we can also accommodate to that. Otherwise, the other bed can be used for storage.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
