My stay at the Fred Hunter Villa in Tiwi exceeded all my expectations. First, Sharon, Collo and their little Tevi are the most friendly and welcoming hosts, that you can imagine and wish for. They will give you all needed local info and help you with your shopping if needed. Also, we went together for the Kongo River kayak trip, which is very close to the villa. The villa itself is set within a beautiful garden and the pool is just an extra bonus, as you can use it any time. You will have a use of all common areas including kitchen to prepare your meals. There is plenty of wildlife around including singing birds. The area around is very green and full of vegetation. The local people are friendly and up for a chat. You can go for nice walks to the nearby beaches and see famous Africa Map pool, which is just next to Twiga campsite, where you can have your meal too. Also, I cycled around with my bike both directions up to the Kongo River and behind and to the Kaya Waa, which was very pleasant, but you need good tyres. You can easily access the villa by local pikipiki or tuktuk, although maybe the roads are not all in the greatest shape. Anyway, I can recommend the place and hopefully will visit it again.
