Embarking on a two-year university program in Tokyo as my first abroad experience seemed quite daunting, but Kunio and Rieko made me feel right at home! I'm overjoyed to have discovered this outstanding Japanese homestay that embraced me wholeheartedly.
The homestay's prime location, just a 10-minute stroll from the nearest train station, made exploring both the vibrant heart of Tokyo and Nerima's tranquil suburbs a breeze. I relished the freedom of exploring the city at my own pace without a curfew, and also delighted in moments like cheering alongside Kunio and Rieko while watching baseball games in the living room. Another standout feature was the delicious and affordable home-cooked Japanese meals, allowing me to immerse myself in Japanese culture through culinary delights.
But what truly distinguishes this homestay is the unparalleled hospitality and support. Kunio and Rieko genuinely cared for my well-being and success, always offering refreshing laughter and priceless guidance on navigating Japan and life in general. My Japanese language skills also blossomed conversing with them; their patience, encouragement, and interest in language learning produced the perfect environment for rapid development. They eagerly taught me all about Sakura blossoms, hot springs, Japanese martial arts, and all things Japan, as well.
I cannot say enough good things about my stay. If you're planning a trip to Tokyo, there's truly no better homestay than this one.

I learned more about Japanese way of living. Most outstandingly how they keep their home organized, everything in place. REIKO AND KUNIO were always available if we have questions or needed help. We had a very good dinner time together at a shabu shabu restaurant and taught us how it is properly done and eaten the Japanese way. The only regret was we did not have enough time to do with them some special events they offered to do with us. I hope we can do it in the future.

I arrived in November at Rieko and Kunios house and stayed there for three months.
They feel like my family now and helped me a lot with my projects.
I enjoyed my stay because of their kindness, active life and how funny both can be.
I am looking forward to see them again in my hometown and in Nerima.Host reply

We had a very pleasant stay thanks to Rieko and Kunio who are really nice persons. Every morning we had breakfast with them and we have appreciated talking with them. They gave us advice about visiting Tokyo and helped us several times when we needed.
We cooked with them one evening, that was a very good dinner. We also wore kimonos and made photos.
We loved their traditional house and sleeping on futon.
If we go to Japan another time, we would like to see them again.
We highly recommend staying at Rieko and Kunio's house.Host reply

Rieko and Kunio made our stay memorable. We felt warmly welcome in Japan. The room was clean, spacious and comfy, the meals were delicious, but the best thing was the time spending chatting together. They helped us with any question and were so fun talking with. When we left, we felt like we had a real home in Tokyo. Thank you so much!
