Myself and my two children and 11 and 15 , live in a our central designed Edwardian redbrick home in Ranelagh , Dublin 6 . Ranelagh is a trendy, vibrant village with lots of restaurants and cafes . Our home is five minutes walk to Beechwood stop , from where a light rail system called the Luas speeds to Stephens Green in about seven minutes . Its a fabulous location within walking distance to the City Centre and the RCSI .
We are warm and welcoming and have hosted many students in our home from all nationalities. We usually have one student staying with us during the academic year . We are open to taking students long term. We have a car parking permit if required.

Payment : On booking , full payment required in advance of arrival.
Cancellation Policy: Any cancellation will not be refunded.

About the Area
Our home is located in the village of Ranelagh , which is 7 minutes by light rail to the City Centre.
It is possible to walk into town in about fifteen minutes. The house is located on a quite treelined street off the village , with single direction traffic . The village is known for its ambience , and excellent cafes and restaurants and beautiful parks within walking distance.

Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
The guest has the exclusive single use of the bedroom and ensuite .The rest of the house is private with the exception of the shower room upstairs. The guest can prepare themselves a light breakfast , fridge space provided. The guest can have a area within the fridge and can have kitchen privileges by arrangement . The main kitchen living room is for family use only after 7pm as this is our family space.
The laundry can be completed by yourself at the weekends.
As a family we are happy to have guests stay for long and short periods.
We have hosted many students internationally over a period , and we really look forward to meeting you. We usually have one student staying during the academic year.

Frances is a perfect host: efficient, generous, and friendly. She made me feel at home. The room is cosy, and the location perfect, close to Luas line. Highly recommended!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
