The Hosts
Graham and Katie. We are in our mid-30s, we have a 3-year-old dog, Archie. He’s a cockapoo (doesn’t shed hair).

The Property
Built in 2018 and is a one-off architecturally designed, detached dormer bungalow that stands on a lawned sunny private garden.

Bedroom and bathroom for rent! Its a spacious bedroom with a king-size bed, a desk, while the bathroom contains a shower. It’s a perfect setup for privacy and comfort. The kitchen and utility room have all appliances for cooking and cleaning i.e. fridge, oven, grill, hobs, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer.

The Location
Donabate is a coastal town about 17 kilometres from Dublin City centre. The house is a 3 minute walk to the train station and town centre. The train to Dublin city centre takes 20 to 25 minutes and drops you right outside Trinity College.

A bus stop is also a 2 minute walk from the house with a route that passes, via Dublin airport (30 minutes), close to DCU (50 minutes) and close to TUD.

Donabate has a supermarket, pubs, restaurants and convenience stores. The beach is a 20 minute walk away and there are also large parks and nature routes to explore.

About the Area

Our house is in Donabate, a coastal town 17 kilometres from Dublin City centre.

The house is a 3 minute walk to the train station and town centre. The train to Dublin city centre takes 20 to 25 minutes and drops you right outside Trinity College, along with many other key locations in the city centre.

A bus stop is also a 2 minute walk from the house with a route that drives, via Dublin airport (30 minutes), past DCU (50 minutes) and into the city centre (1 hour plus - depending on traffic)

The beach is a 20 minute walk away and there are also large parks and nature routes to explore.

Former student and professional guests have said it’s a convenient location and provides great value for money.

House Rules

1. Rent
a) The rent is due for the entire booked period, even if you are away on holidays.
2. Your Private Room
a) You are responsible for the cleaning of your bedroom / bathroom and are expected to keep it tidy at all times.
b) You are in charge of cleaning and regularly changing the bed linen provided.
c) All issues or necessary repairs relating to the room must be reported immediately.
3. Use of the Kitchen
a) You are welcome to use the kitchen and kitchen utensils to cook your meals.
b) Please keep in mind that cooking is not allowed between 10pm and 6am.
c) You are expected to clean your dishes immediately after your meals and to leave the kitchen clean.
d) The kitchen is to be used for cooking and eating purposes only, it is not permitted to study etc. in the kitchen.
4. Use of the Laundry Facilities
a) You are welcome to use the washing machine up to twice (2) a week for washing your personal clothes, towels and linen. Washes must be put on during reasonable hours.
5. Cleaning
a) You are expected to keep all the rooms that you use clean, (bathroom, kitchen etc) by cleaning these spaces immediately after using them.
b) You should participate in the cleaning of the common rooms. This must be done in a fair way, divided between all persons living in the house.
6. Visitors
It is strictly forbidden to bring anyone into the property at any time during your stay.
7. Quiet Hours
There is a strict low noise policy in place at night as other people in the house might be asleep. You are expected to be mindful of not making loud noise from 10 pm to 6 am.
8. Alcohol, Smoking and Drugs
a) It is strictly forbidden to consume or store any alcohol on the property at any time during your stay. b) It is strictly forbidden to smoke inside the property, including in your private bedroom.
c) It is strictly forbidden to consume illegal drugs.
9. Host's Products
It is not permitted to use any products that do not belong to you. All the products you use for your own needs must be bought by you (ie: soap, washing powder, cooking oil etc).

How do I book?

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

When do I pay?

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.

When can I share my contact details?

Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
