Ours is a home stay, located 18 kms from Kushal Nagar. True to its name, we are a trail to the wild Elephants that visit our plantations every other night. A serene place where you can wake up to beautiful plants and birds. You can also request for bonfire and some good music. There's a small lake within the estate too, where you can look out for ducks and other birds. We also provide two wheelers for rent and can also hire a jeep if you want to travel in something off beat. Some authentic yummy coorgi food can be prepared as well. The place is located very close to Dubare elephant camp where you can bathe elephants and go rafting in the Kaveri.

The stay at Elephant trail resort was an awesome getaway from the fast paced city life. Located about an hour away from Madikeri town, the homestay was a perfect place to sit back and enjoy nature. Rachita and her father were wonderful hosts, they lived in the same premises and were always accessible for help or just take time out and show around their plantations. The evenings were magical to gaze at the stars or just enjoy a bonfire as you chatted away. Absence of telephone network at the homestay was a blessing if you want to stay disconnected for a few hours. A special mention for the house help Hakim and his wife who served us some delicious breakfast and dinner (Veg/Non-Veg) rich with local flavours. Things to note for travellers who decide on this place - absence of telephone network, no hotels in the vicinity, located away from most sightseeing places except Dubare Camp and Kushalnagar (Monastery and Nisargadhama). If you can manage your travel around the above points, this place would definitely be a fantastic pick. Thanks.
