A simple, rustic home by the sea welcomes all travellers looking to have a quiet stay. Come to simply relax or to enjoy the sights the ECR (East Coast Road) has to offer.
Our home is built in an open airy style where we live one with nature. Living in India power cuts are normal, We have a small power back up system that works the fans and lights for a few hours, do be conservative in your usage to help it last longer. Note the aircon is not supported by the power backup.
Many foreign tourists find it difficult to adjust to the number of bugs and other such 'wildlife' that for us Indians is part and parcel of our lives. This is the natural environment that we live in. If you are comfortable with the outdoors you will find this an easy space to be in.
Additional Info
English is spoken in our home. I am a teacher of English and can arrange special language classes for foreign guests. There is ample parking available and vast grounds for solitude. Students on special assignments with a valid ID get a special discount. Do write to me with details of your visit.

My first night in India was at Nawaz and Sabita’s house. I really enjoyed their place and great sense of hospitality. I highly recommend them.

I spent a delightful week at Sabita's homestay just outside Chennai. Sabita and her husband Navaz are anxious to ensure their guests have an enjoyable time with advice of where to go and what there is to do. The homestay itself is comfortable with an ensuite room and just a short walk to the long sandy beach. Not far from the homestay is a good resaurant and some shops. Chennai is easily reached by bus, taxi or autorickshaw. The hiring of these vehicles is by British standard surprisingly low cost. I will gladly recommend Sabita's homestay to anyone for an excellent stay. The pair are lovely people!

Sabita and her family were more than welcoming, I couldn’t have asked for a nicer family to stay with; amongst many other things they helped me with my travel arrangements. They cooked delicious food and allowed me to join her family at meal times if I chose to, as well as respecting my privacy.
The house was very spacious and clean, the room I stayed in was very roomy with enough furniture, it was tidy, and it had and on suite shower and toilet. The house sits next to the beach, giving the opportunity to walk along the beach and visit nearby restaurants.
The bus stop was close by and easy to locate, the accommodation was exactly to my needs and great value for money. Sabita has a beautiful family and home; I would definitely recommend staying here.March 2012
