Whenever I travel alone, I try to find homestay accommodation

I'm looking for company (someone to talk with, as at home I live in a big family) and help/advice from locals as well as a bed and a shower... I'm a non-smoker middle-aged woman who likes to get to know people (and their children and pets), and get to know how they live and think.
