We live in Cuenca's best area in a huge beautiful Villa, My name is Jorge, I am a Medical Doctor, I live with my wife Melina who is a housewife and my son Sandro who is 21yo and is a Medical Student at Cuenca's best university.
Our house has 2 and a half stories, 5 bathrooms in total and 4 bedrooms, each one with it's private bathroom in the room,we also have a sauna with a dressing room in the house, a large kitchen, beautiful living rooms with skylights, and also a patio with a BBQ area, a lot of open space, as well a small organic garden.
Our house is just a 5 minute ride or a 10 minute walk to Cuencas "OldTown" historic center, declared as World Cultural Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1999, also just few steps from busses, that will take you anywhere you need, and just one block from one of Cuenca's most beautiful rivers called Tomebamba, one of four rivers that run across the city, giving it a countryside feeling within the modernity of a working city. Our house is also right next to any basic need, such as super markets, parks, restaurants, pharmacies, etc.
Also 20 minutes away from "El Cajas" National Park, where you can hike, fish, camp or just enjoy the amazing views of the beautiful andean mountains and the over 200 lakes that the park offers.
15 minutes away from "Baños", where you can enjoy natural hot springs and relax on mineralized volcanic water, as well as enjoy of wonderful spa amenities.
Cuenca, the city of eternal spring, has just has so much to offer and please any of your cravings! whether it's a fine dine at a fancy restaurant or pacing an artesanal market for sweet deals, no matter what it is, Cuenca is there to fill your needs!

A warm, welcoming and interesting family who helped make our stay in Cuenca so pleasant. Everything very comfortable and location was within walking distance of the beautiful city of Cuenca. We enjoyed our stay with this lovely family.

Can't check the hearts rating because this web page is broken, but I enjoyed staying here. The family is fun and multi-lingual. The dogs are great. The location is perfect for taking the bus into the old town. The only issue I had was that the internet connection was only available a very small portion of the time (an hour or two a day, or, some days, not at all). This seems to have been an issue with the internet provider, as the house is in an area which has reported problems with internet connections. Lots of interesting restaurants within easy walking distance.
Great -- now the web site is forcing me to click on the hearts, but if I do, nothing happens.
