The hostel "La Terraza - Idalmis" is located in the center of the municipality of Yaguajay, located north of the province of Sancti Spiritus. Yaguajay was for us the best place to be during our 3 weeks trip through Cuba. Authentic Cuban life, hardly any tourists and therefore unspoiled. Wonderful nature.
José Luis and his family were very kind and helpful. Nice room and very good food. We really enjoyed the great hospitality, the little town, the natural park, the beaches (only for us) and the peace.

Ondanks dat wij middenin de bouw van een extra douche en wc kwamen heeft het echtpaar ons een warm en fijn verblijf gegeven. De huurauto kon savonds veilig in de tuin worden geparkeerd en de kamer was in dit plattelandse dorp oké. Het ontbijt was goed evenals het warmeten. Tip: maak een wandeling in de schemering door de hoofdstraat. Zit bijvoorbeeld op een bankje bij het park en neem het dorpsleven in je op. De straat José Diez en de aangrenzende straten kennen mooie historische panden. Rancho Querete is op rijafstand. De entre van 10 CUC is aan de hoge kant. Je krijgt een tour van nog geen 1 uur door het een gids die weinig vertelt over het park. Zwemmen bij de grot is goed te doen. Op Playa Vitoria iis het heerlijk uitwaaien.

De pasaje al norte del país, usted no debe dejar de hacerle una parada a Hostal La Terraza a Yaguajay. Idealmente colocada en este pequeño municipio tranquilo y próximo de numerosos sitios turísticos, este casa familiar le permite inmiscuirse en la verdadera vida cubana. Nuestro habitacion era confortable y no faltamos de nada durante nuestra estancia. Jose Luis e Idalmis fueron huéspedes extraordinarios, y pudimos tener discusiones muy simpáticas. Lo que no estropea nada, Idalmis es una cocinera formidable. Hicimos allí dos de nuestras mejores comidas en Cuba. Nuestro solo pesar finalmente está haberse quedado sólo una noche... Recomiendo y aconsejo el 100 % a Hostal La Terraza.

When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
