We stayed with Mariuska and Alexis for four wonderful days in October. They made us feel like part of their family and helped us with information on where to eat and what to see in Vinales. Mariuska provided generous breakfasts and we also ate delicious dinners at their house. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and the bathroom had a wonderful rainfall shower head. We had our own sitting area outside the room with rocking chairs and a view of the countryside which we loved. Alexis took us on two personal tours which showcased the best of Vinales, including visits to one of the famous caves and a tobacco farm where we saw the cigar making process. He organised an interesting choice of taxis for us which included an American car, a 1928 Ford and an ox drawn cart on a farm. We experienced the real Vinales with Mariuska and Alexis, but best of all was spending time with them at the end of the day on the roof, sipping rum and mojitos in rocking chairs. We travelled within Cuba for 16 days and this was our favourite place to stay. We highly recommend Mariuska’s homestay and if you’re lucky Alexis might teach you the Cuban recipe for making the perfect mojitos.

We liked our stay at casa Mariuska. She helped us for a horse trip through the valley, which was very nice. The rooms are clean, but we missed a chair or table to put our things and clothes on. Breakfast was tasty.

We loved our stay at casa Mariuska and Alexis! Spacious clean room and good AC. Nice breakfast! Roof terrace to enjoy the wonderful view of the national park, and the casa is located just a few minutes from the village centrum. Alexis is also the best tour guide, and speaks good english! We went for two hikes with him in the national park, one by foot to experience the wonderful nature and view, and visit a tobacco farm. For the second tour we went for a horseback riding tour in the sunset, visiting a coffee farm, and watching the sunset on a nice terrace with cold beer!
We can highly recommend staying at the casa!June 2017

Nice place and people to stay with and close to the valley.
They are very helpful getting around, doing excursions etc.
The rooms are looking good, proper and clean !May 2017
Mariuska and Alexis were fine hosts and made a most delicious breakfast. While the room and location were excellent, still 2 pictures of the outside of the house I found misleading. A farm house is what I was expecting ! The little dog was very cute. Thank you so much for renting us your room and sharing your space. My only suggestion would be to list the charges for dinners, drinks, and bike rentals, instead of "Bikes for Use" on the Homestay page so people can decide beforehand. Cheers.

¡Qué anfitriona simpática, agradable y linda! Gracias!
