A bed and breakfast in the middle of a large tropical garden full of exotic fruits and plants. Located in the colonial town of Trinidad, between the Escambray mountains and the Caribbean coast, this homestay offers 2 rooms for rent, one a free standing cabin and the other attached to the house. Each comes with an ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, a bar fridge, overhead fan, 240V and 110V, mosquito nets and private entrance. Both are twin rooms (2 double beds) and open out onto a large verandah with outdoor furniture including hammocks for guests use. We have security parking for up to 4 vehicles. The property, which is almost a hectare of land, has well established banana, avocado, citrus, guava and mango trees and a variety of herbs, vegetables and tropical plants. We offer a full breakfast and dinner on the large verandah or in the garden, weather permitting, and a welcome cold beverage made from home grown produce on arrival. Our meals include home and locally grown produce. We also offer a laundry service, wifi hotspot, bookings for various activities including horse riding, salsa classes, day trips and taxi's. Your hosts include a local musician, singer, songwriter and his Australian born wife, now a permanent resident in Cuba.

I was a sales and marketing manager in the Australian book publishing industry for 20 years, and an intrepid world traveller, who fell in love with Cuba on her first visit in 2002 and has returned many times since to explore the island, its historical centres and particularly its national parks. Now a permanent resident I have become a fruit and vegetable farmer, a local tour guide and owner/manager of Casa Los Mangos.
