Our smoke-free, loving home has a ready to move-in apartment for student/ working professional. Located in the basement, it has 2 bedrooms, full bathroom, kitchen area with your own full-size fridge, and living room. You also have access to the backyard with deck, in the summer we have bbqs, bonfire, and grow vegetables.
If you decide to stay with my family, you will have the chance to learn about Filipino and Canadian culture, language, and practice your English as well!
Dog lovers are very welcome- we have very recently adopted a young pup. We hope that you will love your stay with us as much as we love hosting! :)

About the Area
Our house is located just north of downtown Whitby, within a quiet and safe suburb. There are a few parks, trails, a recreation centre and schools nearby. We are located on two main roads where several bus stops are minutes away to walk. There is also a local library and a couple plazas with a great selection of restaurants, no frills grocery store, doctors clinic, and any other essentials you may need within walking distance.

House Rules
-Quiet after 8pm, No noise after 10pm weekdays. 12am on weekends.
-Meals are extra, light breakfast is included. Breakfast can be made available before 10am, dinner can be made in advance and is available in your fridge/ freezer to heat up, be sure to give up to a week in advance for any meal requests.
-No smoking inside, use the backyard outside if you need.
-Please be clean and respectful of our home and space, we will always offer to do the same
-No outside guests allowed in our home, there is unfortunately no private entrance atm.
-We will provide you with your own house key when you arrive. If you lose the key you may be charged for the cost of a replacement key. The key is to be returned to your host before you move out. When leaving the house daily, please ensure that you: Turn off lights, fans, air conditioning, heating, laptops, etc. at the wall or power board switch in your room. Lock the outside door and close any windows.
-Keep your room clean and tidy.
-Do not cook, or keep food in your room.
-Do not leave any wet clothing or towels in your room.
-Do not stick anything to the walls. If you wish to hang anything, please let me know, there is ample shelf space
-The internet is for study purposes. Please be mindful of internet usage when it comes to gaming and entertainment

Smoking Rules
Your host is a non-smoker.
Smoking is not allowed.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
