My husband Dave and I are empty nesters with space in our home to share. *Allergy Alert* We have 3 beautiful and friendly cats who are strictly indoor pets. So if your allergic to cats this may not be the homestay for you.
Our home is moderate sized new home with 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, 3 livingroom/ media areas. There is lots of space to socialize or have quiet time away. We have a beautiful park and recreation area and access to Public transportation is a 4 -6 minute walk.
My family is fun loving, relaxed, and open minded. Our interests include sports, camping, going to the cinema, cooking, history and science, reading, and of course meeting new people and learning about their cultures, traditions and life's experiences.

About the Area
Our home is located in Gray Station on the West side of Lethbridge. We are a 20-30 minute bus or walk/ 10 minute bike ride/ or 5-6 minute car ride to major grocery stores, pubs, restaurants, pharmacy, 5 major bank branches, post office, public library, brand new YMCA recreation facility, and more.
We have a large community park with an outdoor gym, playground, gazebo seating area for picnics.

Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

No Drugs or illegal activities
Noise is to be kept to a respectful level after 9 PM weekdays 11PM weekends
Smoking is absolutely banned indoors. Smoking outside is allowed if using appropriate disposal containers for ashes and butts.
If you would like to invite a guest over it must be preapproved by Dave or I. All guests must leave by 10PM absolutely no overnight guests.
You are responsible and liable for the actions of any guest you bring to the home.
Please be respectful of our home and clean up after yourself.

This home is the best place an International Student can start or a great place to rest for anyone transiting. Candace and Dave are very caring while Dave has some awesome experiences from across the North America to tell about.
I received firsthand information on how things move in Canada and thank the family a lot for helping me with explicit instructions on do's and don'ts. :)
I soon realized that they are just my type of people and enjoyed every minute of my stay in there.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
