    Adele called us 10 days before her arrival and told us she and her husband will arrive around 10pm. I was in bed at 12.30am when they arrived. They did not call me to let me know they were going to be late. Everything was supposedly fine until the last day at my home. This guest did not check out at 10am according to our rule. At 10.30am I knocked on the door to check what was going on, she came out in her pyjamas still enjoying my home. I told her that the checkout time was 10am but she looked surprised. My rule book and checkout procedure was clearly on the table. She cannot deny not seeing it. She asked if they could stay till 2pm, meaning 4 hours after the agreed checkout. I told her that I had other plans and I could not agree to that. She kept begging and I finally agreed to 12pm which was 2 hours after the agreed time and 1 hour before the arrival of my next guest. When they left, none of them said goodbye, they did not even speak a word to let me know they were leaving.
    As a warning to future hosts, they did not communicate their disabilities to me when they booked, I wished they had because I would have recommended them to go for a hotel instead of burdening a host and making us feel uncomfortable. We are not nurses or carers. I think Homestay should make it compulsory for guests to disclose any disability. It is not fair for hosts to have to care for people when we are not able to do so. Adele did not appreciate the fact that she did not get her way with us. And I expect a bad review because of that. Shame on this guest.
